Song: Devil Town
By: Cavetown
(Y/n)'s POV
That night, all of us crammed in the back of the truck to sleep. It wasn't particularly cold, but at first we though it would be better. It wasn't. Me and Ash ended up leaving the back, climbing into the passenger and driver's seat. I found myself straddling him, my face buried in his neck and his in mine.
"Oh my god... sorry! I'll leave you alone!" I was woken up by none other than Shorter. I groaned, looking at the purple haired guy who was outlined by the sun. Ash was already awake, his arms wrapped tightly across my back. "Shorter? What time is it?" I blinked away the sleep, yawning and stretching as well as I could. "Oh... you just woke up. Man, that's disappointing." I heard Shorter sigh under his breath. "Its 7."
"7? Fucking 7am? Fuck this shit, I'm going back to sleep." I roll my eyes, nestling my face back into Ash's neck. "Yeah, no." Ash quickly removed me from his lap and slipped out the open door. "Rude."
Slowly, more and more people emerge from the back of the truck. Eiji was the last to appear, blinking at the early morning sun. I was still sat in the passenger seat sideways, resting my head on the headrest and looking at... nothing in particular. No, I was looking at Ash. I mean who wouldn't? I couldn't help but chuckle as he desperately combed a hand through his hair in an attempt to tidy it up. He shot me an annoyed look. "Oi, Max? D'you mind if I ride up front? Kinda feels like my stomach hates me right now." I whine, sliding from the seat. "Are you okay?" Eiji worried, quickly coming to my side and placing his hands on my shoulders. "Yeah yeah." I waved him off, escaping from his grip and walking over to Ash on wobbly legs. "Unless you count feeling like you're gonna throw up every 3 hours, yeah I'm fine." I rolled my eyes, making Ash and Shorter snicker. "You're doing great." Ash smiled, kissing the top of my head before getting serious again.
"Right, lets get going." He clapped his hands, hastily removing the cover from the back of the truck. Ibe, Shorter and Eiji got into the back, closely followed by Ash. "Come on." Ash smirked, reaching down to help me up. "Oi! I'm not that old. I am able to get up myself." I stick my tongue out at him childishly, easily jumping into the truck. "So much for riding up front."
We drove for about half an hour before arriving on a road that followed the beach. I leaned over the edge and stared at the sparkling ocean. "What are you gawking at?" Ash sighed, joining me at the side of the truck. "Never been a beach or something?"
"Well, no? Remember I was kept hidden for the majority of my life. We should do that sometime." I smiled at Ash, resting my head on his shoulder. "Shorter for the love of all that's good, STOP TAKING PICTURES OF RANDOM GIRLS?!" I yell at the purple haired idiot as he took a picture of a girl we drove past. "Oi! It's good for you, you have a boyfriend! IM single as hell! I don't wanna die alone!" He wailed dramatically, collapsing backwards onto the truck. "So damn dramatic." I sigh, making Ash chuckle again.
When we approached a small group of houses, Max stopped the car pretty quickly. The man jumped out of the drivers seat, instantly kneeling over and throwing up. "Oh god, don't set me off damnit." I groaned, looking away. "What the heck?" Shorter asked curiously, looking at Max. "He's feeling ill, apparently." Ash sighed, pulling me to his side. Max's head flew up when he heard the word 'Daddy' fall from a young boys mouth. The child yelled, jumping from the swing he was stood on and running towards his father. Max did the same, leaping from the ground and rushing towards his son. "Michael."
"Max! Don't." I sighed when he stopped. A pretty woman holding shot gun was on the deck of the house in front of us, the gun aimed at Max. "Don't touch him!" She demanded. "I heard from George that you ran away. Are you trying to kidnap him before losing in court?" The woman had a black halter neck shirt on; a white skirt; blonde hair. Her finger hovered over the trigger of the shotgun, threatening to pull it.
"No that's not it..." Max began, just to be cut off. "Shut up!" The woman ordered, firing a warning shot between Max's legs, that, rightfully so, made he leap sideways.
"Damn." Shorter muttered, leaning on the roof of the truck. "No wonder he felt sick..." I sighed, pulling away from Ash. Then Ibe started walking forwards, making us all stare at him in confusion. "Hi, Jessica." He smiled with his hands raised, approaching the woman. "Sunichi?" Jessica said with shock as she lowered the gun, soon inviting us into her home.
Once inside, I kinda just zoned out. Jessica and Max were arguing about something, not that I cared what. What caught my attention is when she said, "You boys look pretty hot." That sentence broke me out of my trance. "Want to become a model for our magazines?" I looked at Ash, who I was sat next to, and I honestly could not help but laugh. The boy looked so bored and fed up. I poked his cheek in an attempt to get him for brighten up. It didn't work that well, he just intertwined his fingers with mine and rested them on the table top.
The child, Michael, got up from beside me, claiming that he was going to bed. I wished him a good night, patting him on the shoulder as he passed.
When I looked back up, Ash had a devious smirk on his face. "Ash..." I squeezed his hand, but he took no notice of me. Oh well, this would be funny. "Old lady." He smiled cheekily at Jessica, resting his head in the hand my fingers weren't intertwined with. "Hey, old lady." He called again, visibly aggravating Jessica. "You mean me?" She said calmly, slowly turning around with a look that could kill. "Who else?" Ash's smirk didn't leave his face. "Could you pass the mustard, old lady?" Everyone else at the table looked shocked, nervous even. To my surprise, the older lady picked up the bottle of mustard, slamming it down on the table in front of Ash. "You've got balls." She claimed. "Blaming me for my son? Sorry, but I'm not going to listen to a punk like you." Jessica called over her shoulder as se left. "Who's got balls now?" Ash scoffed, putting an ungodly amount of mustard on his food.
I took a last reluctant bite from my food, no longer feeling hungry. "I'm really sorry." Max muttered from the other end of the table. "All parents are garbage." Ash claimed, standing up from his seat and letting go of my hand. "Kids can't choose their parents, you know." He clearly stated his opinion, walking over to the door. "They can't ask for a different pair, no matter how bad they are." Was what he said before leaving. I quickly excused myself from the table and followed Ash out the door.
"Listen very carefully." I heard Ibe say as I left, to which Max sighed.

Is this pretty much just a filler? Yeah, yeah it is.
Anyways,
Have a great day/night,
