Jeongguk didn't exactly know what his mentor had up his sleeve but as he sat and watched the prince dodge and fight back with the other knights whilst practicing, he couldn't help but let his thoughts move to how the other moved so fluidly and smoothly. Jeongguk couldn't help but gulp a little as he watched with wide eyes at how the prince's biceps moved and flex with every movement of his actions. He watched as Taehyung walked over to get his pouch full of water and then turned to walk to where he was sitting under the shade.
"Liking it so far?" Taehyung asked as he sat down.
"Liking..? What?" Jeongguk questioned feeling confused.
Taehyung took a sip of water. "The castle, everything really" he offered the younger a drink from the water pouch.
Jeongguk took it hesitantly. "In a way, yes, it's all very beautiful" he took a sip of water before handing it back to the other.
"It can be…" Taehyung shrugged. "..I'll have to show you something amazing at some point, remind me okay?"
"I will," Jeongguk nodded. "Anyway, don't you have lunch to get to?" He asked.
"Good that you remembered, hold on" Taehyung smiled as he stood up. "Knights!" He shouted.
"Have a good break and evening!" The knights cheered as they went to the tents to take their armor off.
"Come on" Taehyung turned to his servant and offered a hand to help him stand up. Jeongguk took his hand and the older pulled him up and brushed off any bits of grass or dirt off of his clothing.
"I normally have lunch up in my quarters and dinner with my father later" Taehyung explained as they walked back to the castle where they came out from.
"Do you need me then?" Jeongguk asked as he followed the prince to the stairs that lead back inside.
"during dinner? No" Taehyung shook his head softly. "But I would prefer you there for support" he smiled.
"Taehyung!"
The prince and Jeongguk stopped at the top of the staircase where the king stood with his arms behind his back under his cape. Taehyung's smile dropped and his face turned to that of a hard glare. Jeongguk looked between the two with worry.
"You didn't let me finish from our meeting before-"
"My answer is still no." Taehyung replied sharply.
"I don't care what your answer is, you are still going to marry that princess from the other kingdom!" The king shouted back.
"No! I don't want to marry just to bring kingdoms together, I want to marry for love!" Taehyung exclaimed as he argued back with his father.
"You will do as you're told!" The king shouted back pointing at his son with an accusing finger before turning around and walking back to the throne room.
"T… Taehyung-" Jeongguk tried to get his attention in a soft voice.
"Namjoon hyung had better find that potion fast" Taehyung said between his teeth filled with anger and walked off to his quarters with Jeongguk following behind as fast as he could.
"Jeongguk, before you walk in after me, I need you to wait out here for a few minutes, I'll let you know when you can come in, I don't want you to deal with me like this, okay?" Taehyung explained as he pushed open his door.
