Every year you two have prank wars around the holidays. This year you were amping up the stakes.

It's Friday and the kids with some of their friends are watching you as you make something. You have set up 3 pranks already. All for your wife.

"Momma what are you doing?" Azila asks.

"Stuff." You yell out. "What do you guys want for dinner?"

"Pasta." Raylor says. He thinks it gets him out of vegetables.

"Chicken." Figures. Cash (CJ) is picky.

"Can we have Steak? I'm tired of Chicken." Nova disagrees with her twin.

"French Toast. Ohhh no waffles." Azzie says and you just know she is Blake's mini me. Always wanting breakfast food.

"I need you all to agree on one thing here."

"I'm the oldest I say breakfast food. Plus it's mom's favorite." The other kids groan and a few cheer. "Losers."

"Be nice Azila." You say as you stand back and admire your work. Perfect.....

Your phone rings playing Everything by Kehlani.

"Hi my love."

"Hi Mrs. Lively. What's for dinner? And please tell me it's one of my few favorites?" You can hear in her voice she's tired. Still pranking her.

"Yea you are lucky your daughter is your twin. She voted breakfast. You okay baby?"

"Just annoyed but hearing your voice fixes everything. By the way I got you some things. I hope you like it."

"Of course. Anything from you makes me happy. You okay with a movie night with the kids?"

"Who's over? Or else I'm not coming home." You laugh because she's joking. Making fun of some of the kids friends. You tell her and you talk for a few more minutes.

"Okay how far are you?"

"Won't be home for another hour or so..... Babe you literally have my location." You laugh and check it.

"Okay doesn't mean I know how fast you are moving. Decorating the house tomorrow?"

"Yes. Shopping all of that. What are we being this year?"

"Uhmmm I have no clue. You want to do a couple thing or no?"

"If we get invited to a Halloween party we can."

"Glad you said that we have 3. As of now." She groans and you laugh. You whisper to the kids that you are going to the store.

They follow while Blake complains about only attending 2 at most. Because she's old and has kids. What about the kids?

Finally your wife lets you off the phone once at the store. Man can she talk to you like you two don't sleep in the same bed almost every night. You may or may not be on the couch tonight.

"We are getting Halloween supplies. Twins and your friends. Get pumpkins for everyone. Here." You hand them a bunch of cash. "Receipt and my change." They start running off for carts. "I'm serious."

"Azila you wanna go with me or something else?"

"Me and Abby will go get snacks. Movie night right?"

"Yes sweetheart. Wait here." You check your wallet as your daughter walks away with a cart. Holding your credit card in the air. "Get stuff for dinner tonight too." She gives you a thumbs up as she walks off. "Everytime." You whisper to yourself.
