You are on FaceTime with your favorite person while playing the game. Out of nowhere she hangs up and you pay it no attention really.

"Bro he just ran into the..... yea. On the right on the right." You clap your hands together when your team comes out with the dub. "Let's fucking go. Look at all those kills."

"Who bitch?" Your whole team starts talking shit in the lobby as always. You keep playing until it's almost 1 in the morning. As you get comfortable in bed your phone starts ringing.

"Hails why did you hang up on me?"

"You were playing the game and....... You know I don't like bothering you."

"What happened?" You sit up. She doesn't answer but you can see the hurt in her eyes. "You know what just be ready in 5 minutes." You grab two hoodies, some blankets and snacks. Tossing it all in your book bag quickly.

"Where are you going young man?" Your mom stops you.

"Mom Hailee is in a slight crisis so I'll be back."

"Still going to school." The blonde says as she walks up the stairs. You nod and throw on the hoodie you have. Grabbing the car keys and driving to Hailee's.

"Get in the car so we can go on a drive."

"Hailee. Come on." She hears The Weeknd playing and smiles a little. She gets in the car and you hand her your phone. "Free to play whatever you want. Snacks in the bag."

For the start of the drive you two just listen to music and sing along. Her eating the snacks you brought.

"Why do guys play games with someone they like?"

"Yes honest. No I want you to fucking lie to me." You realize what happened a bit now.

"I would say it depends on the situation. But if he's playing around like he doesn't like you then truth is he's messing with someone else. Or he's trying to keep it a secret. Anyway it goes Hails he's keeping you around for his convenience."

She sighs and lays in the passenger seat. You reach over and grab her hand. Rubbing over her knuckles.

"Hails you know your worth. Don't settle to some assholes standards of how to love you."

This became a thing you two do. She had a problem or some issue you guys would go on a car ride. Sometimes you would picking up food before and go just park off somewhere.

Slowly forming this one place as your spot to drive too and chill at. You would ditch your friends all the time. To you Hailee is and always will be a priority.

Especially after this one break up. Happened when you went to state for basketball. Hailee, parents, siblings, aunt and uncles came to watch you. The night before the game you had comforted Hailee.

Broken the rules for her. Leaving after room checks and curfew. Taking your sister's car and driving around an unknown town to bring her some peace of mind.

Cost yourself starting the game and everything. Yet you didn't care.

It warmed your parent's heart because it was clear where your heart was. Even though you had them worried staying out late. Might be FBI agents but they still worry like no other.

Yet your momma knew that you were in love when you drove Hailee around for hours. Then took her to your basketball practice at 4 in the morning. Let her sleep in the car in peace.
