"This Colorado team is matching up well against LSU." Candace Parker says.

"I think so but...... ohhhhhh they cannot contain Baby Johnson as she takes another 3 and drains it." Angel Gray cheers as you point to Hailey for finding you open way up top.

"She has yet to miss 12/12 right now. 11 of those beyond the arc. 35 points for the freshman in her debut game as a Tiger." You are determined to close this game out with a win.

"Jae switch." You tell her as you pick up her girl stopping the drive. She dribbles back out and you poke at the ball. Hitting it out of bounds. You clap your hands pissed because you should've gotten that.

Your team pulls you into a quick huddle. "It's okay Y/n let's lock down this inbound."

"Good shit everyone." Hailey pats your butt. You look to the clock. 3:37 left. You guys break the huddle and go to match up with your girl.

You take the inbounder. The time is counting down on there play. The inbounder tries bouncing it off you but you were ready for it. Catching it. You go coast to coast laying in the lay up.

"Ohhh I know Kim Mulkey loved that." Gray announces. Your team tells you good job as Colorado brings the ball down. 116 - 86.

Playing off on your girl. They dip a pass to her that you hit. Hailey gets it and passes to you before being surrounded. You launch it down the court to Mikaylah and she hits the three.

The whistles are blown as Colorado calls for a timeout. Mikaylah points to you as Angel runs over hugging you.

"Did you see Williams open before that pass?"

"I didn't. That transition on the floor was so quick. No one had time to adjust besides Y/n Johnson and Milkaylah Williams." The announcers continue talking as they rerun the play.

As you told yourself, you put the team on your back and pulled out the win. You almost had a quad-double your first game. 2 shy for steals. Yet you had a perfect FG percentage.

1-0 to start the season perfect. The team boards the bus. Everyone gets settled.

"Babe...." You look to Hailey as you two settle on the bus. You were joking around with some of the team. "Brayleon wants us to go out tonight for the win. I think we should. Debut game you put up 46 points."

"Uhmmm baby I prefer we just kick back with everyone. I mean at least I can drink......" Hailey smacks her lips and sits back. You ignore her mood and continue talking with Aneesah and some of your other teammates.

This irritates Hailey. You just blew her off.

She messages Brayleon back saying not tonight and she'll call him later. He gets the silent message that you pissed her off once again.

After a while on the bus you settle next to her. You lean into her and kiss her cheek.

"Ohhh now you want to kiss up to me."

"Ohhh and you still have this funky ass attitude. If you want to go out with Brayleon please do. I don't care."

"That's not the point. I want you to go with and every time I ask you lately you shut it down. I thought we had fun last time we all hung out."

"Ley we talked about this. He's your friend. I'm leaving that ball in your court but he still likes you...." She sighs and rolls her eyes as she falls back into her seat. In denial that he still likes her. "Cut the dramatics. You are the one having me repeat myself for the 5th million time."

"I don't feel like arguing with you right now." She crosses her arms and looks out the window.

"It's not an argument to have. So no need to be defensive and put walls up." You tell her as you sit up looking at her. "Do as you please to celebrate the win. We don't have to spend every moment under one another. I'll do my best to not be plastered when you come back. For right now I'll give you your space. I love you and I'm proud of how you played today. It was your debut game as a LSU Tiger too." You kiss her cheek and leave from next to her.
