One Night - Kate Martin

"You gotta come out with us this weekend? Please!" Caitlin begs Kate. "It'll be a good time plus take it as us celebrating your birthday early." Other teammates join in and nag her as well.

"Okay. Okay I'll go. I return in a few days. Where is this party?" They start giving her the details.

"Y/n you gotta go please. I don't want to be the only one to show up. Plus we are going to school with some of them. I know your teammates have been bothering you about it."

"We don't even have fakes to get in."

"We don't need it. Just follow my lead okay?" You nod your head yes and Hannah starts cheering. "Let's find some hot ass outfits. Make a good first impression."

Everyone is drunk as fuck in the club. All the Iowa students are here. It was announced to link up at this club this weekend.

This dirty blonde across the way had her eyes on you. You didn't know who anyone was besides your cheer mates and Caitlin Clark. Everyone knows who she is.

You were talking it up with these guys. Football players that wanted you. Too bad someone else caught your attention.

Your cheer mates have you all take another shot. The guys offer to buy you another drink. You agree. He gets you an ice tea.

"I'm RoMelo." He tells me finally.

"Y/n." He leans back against the bar. He's really friendly. I watch as he eyes Hannah. "She's single. Also you are just her type. 6'7 bright blue green eyes."

"Yea well Pom Poms you have a suitor too." Both of you look in the dirty blonde direction. "Kate Martin. I brought you the drink as a confidence booster."

"You making a move on Hannah?"

"Might need one more shot."

"Let's make that two." You both laugh and get two tequila shots. Bartender slides it with two limes.

"Arriba." He starts as we raise our glasses in the air.

"Abajo." You continue and lower it. Tapping the glasses on the counter.

"Al centro pa dentro." Together you both say it then take the shot. Then placing the limes into your mouths.

"Alright best of luck." He dabs you up and makes his way to Hannah. Okay all you have to do is talk to her. You finish of the ice tea and go to turn around. Just to have her standing face to face with you.

"Hey gorgeous."

"Hey......"

"I'm Kate." You smile because you already know that. She smiles back at you. It's beautiful.

"I'm Y/n." From there she stands and talks to you. Getting closer and closer over time. At some point you two hit the dance floor and dance with one another.

You notice Hannah with the guy as you grind on Kate. His arm over her shoulder as he whispers in her ear while dancing. The same position you and Kate are in.

Both of you take a few more shots. Like 5. After those 5 you and Kate are ducked off somewhere making out.

"Wanna make my birthday weekend even better?" Kate whispers in your ear as you hug her completely against you. You nod immediately.
"Come back home with me?"

Without hesitation you agree. Kate is beyond happy she came with another friend that is ready to go. You let Hannah and a few other friends know you are leaving for the night.

Hannah gives you the look and you nod. Location is definitely on. You wave at RoMelo as he comes back with water for Hannah. Awhhh such a sweetheart.

"Have fun Pom Poms." He yells over the music. You give a thumbs up and disappear back to Kate. The ride is short. Within seconds of arriving Kate has you pinned against the wall by the front door.
