Big Promises

"How often do you find yourself caring about what people think?" He asked.

"Never" She hesitated, "Unless it's you."

THE PELTING RAIN from the night before had become an all out downpour at some point
overnight. As the morning went on, lighting was added in streaks across the sky. Then in the early afternoon Arya, by a miracle of some sort, realized a giant wave forming it's aim at the ship and ran outside in just enough time to stop the ship from capsizing.

    It was chaos from there.

The waves didn't stop. Percy joined Arya quickly, but between the two of them alternating taking down the waves it was still a struggle to keep this ship from getting damaged. It didn't help that no one could hear each other. Not even Festus' roars could be heard over the thick rain forcing itself from the sky.

Arya noted at one point that Ace and Leo were strapped to the control center, attempting to get the ship into the air while Annabeth and Piper attempted to keep the rigging in good standing.

It was obvious to the Jackson siblings that this storm was not natural. It may have started out from the forces of nature but its progression and nastiness was not something their ship should have been going through. Someone, or something was behind this attack.

Percy managed to punch down another wave, while Arya kept the boat from rocking too much, then they shared a look. The older girl had no interest in throwing herself overboard to meet the entity causing this but Percy was looking at her like she didn't have a choice.

"Jason!" Arya screamed as loud as she could.

Percy knitted his eyebrows for a second as he tried to make out what she had said before nodding in agreement and pointing behind her. She turned and sure enough Jason was standing looking at both of them only five feet away.

A storm was both water and air. It was safer for them to go together in case the being favored Jason to the siblings.

Arya pointed at Jason before jerking her thumb over the side of the ship.

Jason looked past her to Percy before nodding his head.

As if reading each other's mind Percy and Arya ran and threw themselves overboard at the exact same time.
