"War is not heroic. War is not exhilarating. War is full of despair. It's dark. It's dreadful. It's a thing of sorrow and gloom."

DABDA

"Tell me something that nobody knows about you?" He asked.

She thought long and hard, "There's something so beautiful about seeing the world from above, that sometimes I get sad that I can't fly on planes."

ARYA WAS BEYOND PISSED

The one god who she thought she could put an inkling of trust into, turned around and made the most selfish decision possible in their greatest time of need. It wasn't only her betrayal she was mad about. It was Ace's. She didn't know much about Octavian other than he was universally hated and seemed to have it out for Ace. She knew Ace struggled with knowing his worth. She couldn't imagine the blow that Apollo must have dealt to his son by choosing someone else.

She sat four rows back, glaring at the god with her knives in her hands.

This is not something that would be easily forgiven.

I didn't mean... He stammered. Fuck him.

The noise in her ears from her rage was so loud that she couldn't make out what Leo was saying to Apollo. The god had nearly forgotten about her, glancing at her with less frequency now that Leo had pulled out some music box.

Arya stood up when he picked up the flower and handed it to Leo to exchange for whatever musical invention Leo had created. He then waved Arya over.

"I didn't kill him, and I helped you all out." Apollo said, back to his whiny voice that only seemed to come out around her. "That's gotta make up a little bit."

"No." Arya said with force. Grabbing Leo by the wrist and storming off towards the docks.

"Arya!" Apollo called.

"Don't!" She said, coming to a brief stop, "Try again when you've stopped acting like an absolute ass."

She kept walking with Leo being dragged like a child behind her. Once the kid processed the final interaction he stopped tripping over his own feet and caught pace next to her.

"I think I'm in love with you." He said.

"Mhmm."

Back at the docks Ace was finishing his conversation with Artemis. By the time Leo and Arya caught up the goddess was all but gone, only sparing one glance and nod over her shoulder at the girl.
