"Sometimes I want to say. I love you all, but I find that difficult so instead I say things like 'I'm glad we're all here'.... I'm glad we're all here."

The Calm Before the Storm

"When did you realize you were the best of the greeks?" He asked.

"I want to be modest and claim that I'm not." She chuckled, "But it was probably when I stood on that bridge with only two other campers, watched as an army ran towards me, and I knew I was going to win."

ARYA TRULY DIDN'T WANT TO WAKE UP.

After the previous night, she had fallen asleep thinking about Ace's beautifully written words, and the kiss... She had dreamed about the kiss. The two of them had put themselves as an impenetrable bubble. Nothing could touch them. Nothing could touch him.

Arya just knew that the minute this final day got going, it would not be easy. And with her luck, they weren't walking out of the day unscathed.

When Leo came knocking on doors, Arya knew that both of them had woken up. Neither of them were overly heavy sleepers. Except she didn't want to move. For a few more minutes she let herself be selfish and took in his scent, baked in his warmth, embraced the feeling of his skin on hers.

The minute passed, and Arya opened her eyes and crawled out of bed.

As promised, neither one of them talked about last night. As hard as it was, Arya forced the kiss into the back of her head. Once Gaia was dealt with, then they would figure out what the fuck to do about them.

By the time they got to the deck the longing glances were over, and both of their heads were in the game.

On deck armor was being thrown around to each other. Leo had worked to make a set for each of them. It wasn't the most protective armor that Arya had seen, but it was either protection or freedom of movement, and they needed the element of speed when dealing with the giants.

Ace was the first one strapped into his armor, needing only two minutes when the rest of the crew needed at least five. The years within the legion had prepared him well.

"Arya? Armor?" Percy called across the deck, walking over to Ace to help him arm the ballistas.

The girl rolled her eyes before hitting her gauntlets in such a way that her sea blue scale armor built itself around her piece by piece, just like it had been built yesterday.
