The Second Battle of CHB Part 1.

"What made you step into being a leader?" He asked
"Happenstance..." She shrugged, "And knowing my world better than anyone else"

FOR ABOUT THIRTY SECONDS, Arya had no sense of space or direction.
Below deck, the seven of them crowded into Percy's bunk because it was the most central location of the ship in case the thing burned from the inside out. The ship twisted and turned, went up and down in elevation as well as temperature. Arya could hardly keep her churning stomach calm. Hazel couldn't.
Then Jason from his place on the mast started to frantically pull the rope that was connected to the bolted down bed in the room. The signal that it was time for them to depart. Hazel went first, not surprisingly followed by Frank. Arya insisted that Piper, Percy, Annabeth and Ace go before her and so they followed up the rope in that order.
The room was spinning in every direction possible and it was impossible to tell where their bodies were in space. Ace had the right idea with the guide rope, otherwise Arya wasn't sure she'd have it in her to make it up to the deck.
Every step was like trudging through a swamp, lifting her legs off the ground was near impossible. Nevertheless, she kept her hold on the rope and climbed to the deck one shuffling foot after the other.
As she came up the hatch and entered back into the world around her, she was met with nothing but chaos. Leo was still strapped to his smoking control panel, hair in his eyes, muscles strained, yelling for everyone to go. Beuford the table was repeating his creators words with far more force. Frank turned into a dragon the minute it seemed to dawn on everyone else that Leo didn't plan on coming with them.
Jason argued as he grabbed Piper, the elevation dropping rapidly.
Leo wouldn't hear it.
Jason, believing in his friend, took Piper with a grim look on his face.
Hazel climbed onto Frank's back while the dragon gripped Percy and Annabeth in his claws. Ace and Arya were supposed to be on his back as well. Frank turned to see if the two of them were coming.
