I was sitting in the middle of Hyde Park waiting for Lizzie, holding two strawberry smoothies with my scarf blowing in the wind behind me.

The park was relatively quiet for a Sunday and the only noise around me was that of the buses passing by. It was peaceful. It had taken me a few hours to pick an outfit for today.

I know Lizzie has seen me in my pjs and even in nothing but there was still a part of me that wanted to impress her. God, she's my girlfriend now but I don't want to lose her, no matter what it takes.

I glanced behind me from the bench I was sitting on to see Lizzie walking towards me clutching her bag as the wind blew in her direction. Her smile met mine and a hug followed. I held onto her and pulled away to look into her eyes before giving her a sweet kiss.

"I brought smoothies," I said, pulling them out from between the middle of us.

"Thank you lovely, want to take a walk?" She asked, taking one of the drinks between her hand and grabbing my hand with the other.

As we walked, I held tightly onto her hand like she would blow away if I didn't hold on tight enough.

"How was your thing yesterday?" She asked, comically swinging our hands between us.

"It was good actually, it was nice to properly talk to the band without all the formalities," I replied, "Marlana seems lovely and so do the other guys. Robbie was a bit weird yesterday though."

"Weird how," she asked after a while of silence.

"Marlana said something about his marriage. How his wife was hardly ever home. He seemed really torn up, he barely touched the food I made, and his eyes wouldn't stay focused on one thing," I said back to her, leaning my head into the crook of her neck, "I don't know I feel slightly bad for him."

"That's because you're a good person Y/N," Lizzie said placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"Do you want to talk about yesterday?" I asked, looking at her.

"What about yesterday?" Lizzie asked. Did she really need me to spell it out?

"You were crying when you answered the phone babe," I said back to her as we continued walking.

She hesitated before answering, "oh, I don't actually remember what it was about," she said, refusing eye contact.

"Baby please look at me," I spoke, leading us over to the closest bench and taking her face in my hands, "You can talk to me."

"I know," she said, placing her hand over mine, "I honestly don't remember what happened, I would tell you if I did, I swear. It was probably nothing."

I kept my eyes on hers, searching for a sign she wasn't telling the truth, but I came up empty. I placed a kiss on her forehead and pulled her into a hug.

"Come on I'm hungry," Lizzie said after a few moments.

She took my hand and lead me towards a café that sat on the outskirts of the park.

I couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't telling me something. I searched for the truth, but nothing prevailed. I gave her no reason to lie to me, so I know deep down that I have to trust what she says.

She's fine, I'm fine, we're fine.

"Hey Y/N," Lizzie said, waving her hand in front of her face, "where did you go, I lost you for a second," she said laughing.

"Yeah sorry. Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, looking at her sincerely.

"Babe, I promise I'm fine, I would tell you if I wasn't," she said smiling at me, "now, cheese toasties?"
