"Milo Greene: Autumn Tree," Lizzie said, reading the sign outside the fancy hotel we rented, "what a shit title," she said.

I giggled and grabbed her hand, linking our fingers before walking up to the bouncer at the front door.

"Names?" he said holding out a red clipboard.

"Y/N Y/L/N and Elizabeth Olsen," I said smiling at my girlfriend.

"Fantastic," he said, opening the front door, "go down the hall and it's the second door on your left."

I squeezed Lizzie's hand and led her down the corridor towards the function room on the left, the door had two windows that I looked through as soon as we reached them. There were a few people standing around the bar and a few people chatting with each other around the room, I couldn't see any members of the band, but I saw Jess at the bar. She saw me through the door and waved me in. I smiled and pushed the door open, walking over to the bar.

"Y/N thank god you're here; I hate doing these things," she said pulling me into a hug.

I laughed and pulled away, "I know I know, Jess this is Lizzie," I said, placing my hand around Lizzie's waist.

"It's lovely to finally meet you," Lizzie said, holding her hand out.

"Oh enough of that," Jess laughed, pulling my girlfriend into a hug, "Y/N has not shut up about you since you met."

Lizzie giggled and smirked at me, "is that true?"

"No she's lying of course," I smiled sheepishly, kissing the side of her head.

I turned back to Jess who handed Lizzie and I cocktails, "it's an open bar, just keep drinking," she said, "it's the only way we're getting through this thing."

"Are the band here yet?" I said taking a sip.

She shook her head, "no don't worry but um- Robbie just entered, 12 o'clock," she said quietly nodding towards the door.

Lizzie stood a deep breath and a long sip as his footsteps approached behind us. I kept my hand firmly on her waist, keeping her close to me at all times.

"Y/N, you came," Robbie said surprised.

I kissed the side of Lizzie's head and turned around to see his smug Jesus-looking face.

"And you bought my ex!" he said with a large smile, "wow thank you for dragging your shit to my book launch," he said looking between us.

Lizzie took another big sip of her drink, finishing it this time and putting it on the bar.

"Who's the big drinker now," he muttered under his breath.

"Robbie let's just keep it professional, neither of us wants to make a scene," I said calmly.

"No, you're right. I'm sorry Liz. What I meant to say is- since when did you become a big dyke? I mean come on, look at your outfit. Just because you're fucking a woman doesn't mean you need to look like it," he said boldly.

"I would watch yourself," I said stepping between my girlfriend and her ex.

"Or what Y/N?" Robbie dared.

Lizzie grabbed my wrist, making me turn to look at her, "he's not worth it," she said calmly.

"Got something to say Liz?" Robbie asked.

Lizzie sighed and went to open her mouth before someone walked up behind Robbie and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Marlana," Robbie said with a shit eating grin, "you remember Y/N."
