"I'm gonna get another beer." Puck stated. "Anyone want one?"
"I'm good."
"I'll take one."
"I'll give you a hand." Quinn decided, following Puck to the kitchen.
Puck went through the fridge and Quinn watched him.
"I heard you visited my professor." Quinn noted.
"I did." Puck said, closing the fridge and opening his beer.
Quinn looked at Puck, silently demanding an explanation.
"You don't think sleeping with your professor is a little inappropriate?" Puck asked.
"Did Santana tell you about that?" Quinn guessed.
"Yeah." Puck confirmed, taking a swig of his beer as he looked at Quinn. "So?"
"You're a hypocrite." Quinn said softly.
"Excuse me?" Puck muttered.
"You slept with Shelby last year." Quinn reminded Puck.
"That was totally different." Puck insisted.
"How is that different? She was our teacher, Stuart is my teacher." Quinn pointed out.
"Okay, first of all, Shelby was young and hot and she wasn't my teacher." Puck stated. "And second, Stuart probably can't even get it up."
"So you went to talk to him." Quinn nodded. "What did you say?"
"I told him to stay away from you." Puck responded. "And to not make you trade sex for grades."
"So now you don't think I can earn my grades?" Quinn folded her arms.
"I know you can, which is why whatever you're doing with him needs to stop." Puck told Quinn.
"And this has nothing to do with us?" Quinn questioned Puck.
"It has everything to do with us." Puck clarified. "I came to New Haven to be with Beth, and you. And you've been sneaking around with-"
"Sneaking around?!" Quinn cut Puck off. "Noah, we are not together. Whatever or whoever I do is none of your business. It stopped being your business the second you said we should break up."
"Because I wanted you to get to start fresh here." Puck explained. "I wanted you to make new friends, not jump into a relationship that screams this chick is crazy and has daddy issues."
Quinn slapped Puck across the cheek.
Puck took another swig of his beer, unphased.
"That's enough beer." Quinn told him, reaching for the bottle.
"Dump Stuart." Puck bartered.
"No." Quinn said.
"Then I'm taking Beth and we're leaving." Puck warned Quinn.
"You take her, I call the cops." Quinn retorted, grabbing the beer bottle from Puck. She accidentally dropped it, glass shattering and beer spilling all over the floor.
"Move." Puck commanded, putting his hand out. "I don't want you stepping on broken glass."
"What the hell is going on?"
Quinn and Puck froze and looked at Santana and Finn, who were standing in front of them.
"It was an accident." Quinn said softly as she watched Puck clean up the beer and the glass. "I dropped a bottle."
"We're just talking." Puck added.
"Talking?" Santana raised an eyebrow, folding her arms. "Yeah, 'cause that's what it looks like. What's going on, Puck?"
Puck didn't look up from the shards of glass he was carefully cleaning up. "Just cleaning up Quinn's mess."
Quinn scoffed.
"You two look like you're about to strangle each other." Santana commented. "So what's really going on?"
"I just told her to stay away from Stuart." Puck shrugged. "That's all."
"Stuart?" Finn furrowed his eyebrows. "Who's Stuart?"
"Her professor." Puck muttered, wiping his hands on a dish towel as he got up from the floor and threw the broken glass into the garbage.
"It's none of your business who I spend time with." Quinn noted.
"That's not true." Puck argued. "I'm here for Beth, and for our family. So when you start making stupid choices-"
"You're not my boyfriend, Noah!" Quinn exclaimed, getting defensive. "I'm not your responsibility."
Santana looked from Quinn to Puck to Finn, who had been quietly observing.
"Wait." Finn said, furrowing his eyebrows. "You're screwing your professor?"
Quinn shot Puck a look, her face red. "Noah's being overprotective. He thinks Stewart's using sex as leverage for grades."
Puck sighed, rubbing his temple. "It's not just about grades, Quinn. It's about you being an idiot and not realizing how wrong this is."
"Oh my god, Noah!" Quinn exclaimed. "You're acting like I'm some kind of naïve, vulnerable teenager who gets pregnant by every single manipulative person that she meets. Stuart isn't like that."
"What the hell does that mean?" Puck questioned Quinn.
Santana exchanged a look with Finn before stepping in. "Okay, you two need to stop. Beth's in the other room and this is spiraling out of control."
"No, tell me what that means." Puck insisted.
"That came out wrong." Quinn noted. "I didn't mean to insult you and believe it or not, I'm not trying to hurt you."
Puck shook his head, not believing a word of it. "I came here to be around for Beth, so she won't grow up like I did, and for you. I came here to make things easier on our family, but this isn't easy or good for any of us. And if Stewart's more important to you than-"
"He isn't." Quinn interrupted.
"Then end it." Puck ordered.
"No." Quinn said. "I can be with someone and still prioritize my family."
"You think you're prioritizing family?" Puck questioned Quinn. "When have you ever prioritized Beth over a relationship?"
Quinn clenched her jaw.
"I'm gonna take Beth to Lima." Puck decided. "We'll see you at Christmas."
"Noah." Quinn frowned. "Don't be like this."
"Like what?" Puck asked.
"This." Quinn repeated. "Don't go. Let's just talk about this."
"We did." Puck pointed out. "I'm done talking about this right now."
"We can work it out." Quinn insisted.
"We can talk more at Christmas." Puck said. "I'm gonna go pack."
"Noah."
