"Oh my god, Santana, look!" Brittany exclaimed, grabbing Santana's hand and tugging her toward the stray cat.

Santana raised an eyebrow. "What am I looking at, Britt?"

"It's a cat!" Brittany grinned, crouching down a few feet away from the creature, careful not to spook it. "A kitten. I think it needs help."

Santana squinted at the animal. "You sure it's not plotting to steal your soul?"

"It's a baby." Brittany shook her head. "Poor thing must be freezing out in the snow."

Santana crossed her arms, unimpressed.

"Look at its fur and those eyes..." Brittany added. "How could you say no to those eyes, Santana?"

"It probably has fleas, worms, and a whole list of other issues that'll make me want to burn down this apartment." Santana replied.

"But we can save it." Brittany said, scooping up the tiny animal. "We can take care of it together."

Santana glanced at the cat in Brittany's arms, and for a brief moment, she softened. Brittany was an animal lover.

"I'll teach it where the litter box is." Brittany added. "And how to use it. If I can teach Lord Tubbington, I can teach this little guy."

"What if it's a devil cat?" Santana wondered, her tone a little less harsh. "Like, what if it scratches the hell out of our furniture? Or worse, our faces?"

"It won't!" Brittany promised optimistically. "I'll teach him."

Santana tilted her head, clearly trying to be logical, but failing miserably as she looked at Brittany.

"Santana, look." Brittany requested. "He's so tiny and scared. We can't just leave him here."

Santana sighed. "You're seriously about to convince me to bring home a filthy street cat, aren't you?"

"It's fate." Brittany insisted.

The kitten started purring, leaning into Brittany, as if already knowing he was safe with her. The tiny creature mewed softly, and Brittany's heart practically melted.

"Fine." Santana groaned. "But you're the one training it and cleaning up after it."

"Him." Brittany corrected Santana with a nod. "I will. You're the best, Santana."

"I know." Santana muttered, smiling slightly at Brittany's happiness.

"Little Guy, say thank you, Mama." Brittany whispered to the kitten as she gently scratched his head. "What should we name him?"
