"Tell me when to stop." Joe said as he gently pushed Quinn's leg.

Quinn nodded, wincing in pain, but not saying anything.

"Quinn?" Joe asked when he noticed her discomfort.

"If I'm gonna be dancing at Nationals, I have to push myself." Quinn replied.

"Push yourself." Joe clarified, letting go of Quinn. "Not hurt yourself."

"If you're not gonna help me, why'd you bother coming?" Quinn questioned Joe.

"Because." Joe answered. He paused and sighed. "Okay, let's try it again."

Joe put his hand on Quinn's leg again and gently began stretching it.

Quinn put her hand over Joe's and closed her eyes, breathing through the pain as she pushed her leg more. She opened her eyes when she felt Joe pull away.

"Dude!" Joe exclaimed.

Quinn sat up and looked at Puck, who still had his hands on Joe. "What the hell are you doing?"

"I told you I was taking her." Puck reminded Joe.

"Stay away from her." Joe commanded. "She doesn't want you here."

Puck quickly and swiftly punched Joe, knocking him to the ground.

"Noah!" Quinn yelled, causing the physical therapist to hurry over to her and the boys.

"Is there a problem here?"

Quinn looked at Puck.

"No." Joe answered. "I was just leaving."

"Joe, wait." Quinn requested as Joe gathered his things.

"I'll see you in school." Joe muttered, walking away.

The physical therapist looked at Quinn.

"We're good." Quinn promised, not wanting Puck to get in trouble.

The physical therapist nodded before hesitantly walking away, leaving Quinn alone with Puck.

"Okay." Puck said. "Now that it's just us, let's get to work."

Quinn furrowed her eyebrows.

"I wanna help." Puck stated.

"Help?" Quinn repeated. "You have a funny way of helping."

"I'm not trying to make things harder." Puck said softly. "I came here to help you."

"I didn't ask you to." Quinn pointed out.

"Well, now you're stuck with me 'cause Joe's gone, which means I'm your ride home." Puck noted.

"You have no right to be here." Quinn snapped. "I told you not to come. You're not my boyfriend. You don't get to just show up and pretend like-"

"I know we're not together, but that doesn't mean I don't care about you." Puck interrupted.

"Noah." Quinn shook her head. "You're doing this out of guilt. That's all it is."

"I don't feel guilty." Puck said. "But I know what it's like to screw up and then watch everything fall apart because you did one dumb thing."

"No one is angrier about this than I am." Quinn shook her head. "But you don't get to do this, Noah. I don't need you."

"Yes you do." Puck replied.

"You told me I was-"

"I know what I said." Puck cut Quinn off. "That doesn't mean I wanted you to get hurt."

Quinn looked at Puck.

"I didn't mean it." Puck continued. "But if you meant what you said in the choir room about dancing at Nationals, you'll let me help you. Especially since we'll probably be dance partners."

"You don't get to act like the hero." Quinn stated.

"You think I care about that?" Puck asked.

Quinn looked Puck in the eye. She could read him well, almost as well as he could read her. And she knew him, she knew his heart. This wasn't about guilt or playing hero. He cared.

"Fine."

Puck smiled slightly.

"But don't think that this makes things good between us." Quinn added.

"We can work on that." Puck decided.

Quinn nodded in agreement.

"Okay." Puck said, shifting into a more professional tone as he looked at the papers in front of him detailed with instructions for exercises. "Let's get started on these exercises then, huh?"

Quinn buckled her seatbelt and watched Puck pack her wheelchair into the car before getting in the driver's seat. He buckled his seatbelt and looked at Quinn.

"I'm sorry about what I said before your accident." Puck apologized. "I didn't mean it, and if something ever happened to you, I..."

"So you were here because of guilt." Quinn teased, trying to lighten the mood.

"Very funny." Puck replied. He looked at Quinn. "I'm really proud of you, Quinn. You killed it today."

"Thanks for being here." Quinn smiled. "And for what it's worth, I forgive you."
