"Hi, I'm Noah Puckerman and this is Quinn Fabray." Puck introduced himself and Quinn. "We got a call about our daughter, Beth."

"You can have a seat. Miss Greene is on her way down."

"Beth's okay though, right?" Puck asked. "Like, she didn't get hurt or anything, right?"

"Miss Greene will be right here to explain everything."

"Okay." Puck nodded slowly. "Is this gonna take long though? 'Cause Quinn and I were both working and-"

"Mr. Puckerman, Miss Greene will be right with you."

Puck furrowed his eyebrows as he sat down next to Quinn.

A young woman entered the main office and walked up to the desk, whispering to the secretary before turning to Quinn and Puck.

"Mr. and Mrs. Puckerman, thank you for your time. I'm Miss Greene, Beth's teacher."

"Hi, Miss Greene. I'm Quinn Fabray." Quinn corrected the woman. "This is Noah Puckerman."

"Sorry about that." Miss Greene apologized. "It's nice to meet you both."

"Yeah, is Beth okay?" Puck wondered.

"Beth is fine." Miss Greene confirmed. "You can come with me into the conference room to discuss."

Quinn and Puck followed the teacher into the small conference room, and they all sat down.

"So you said Beth's okay, right?" Quinn wondered.

"Beth is fine." Miss Greene promised. "She's a great kid. She's really smart and sociable."

"What'd she do?" Puck wondered.

Quinn nudged Puck and he shrugged.

"Today at recess, Beth fell off the swings." Miss Greene explained. "She was fine, but when she landed, she yelled a curse word."

"Which one?" Puck asked, and Quinn looked at him.

"The F word." Miss Greene answered.

Puck laughed lightly.

Quinn glanced at Puck, her cheeks pink with embarrassment as she quickly apologized to Miss Greene. "I'm sorry. Noah doesn't always know when to keep it together."

Miss Greene nodded politely. "I understand the humor of the situation, Mr. Puckerman. It's just that we have a policy about inappropriate language, and we wanted to make sure Beth understands the consequences."

Puck looked at the teacher. "Consequences? She's seven. It's not like she's running around swearing at people. I mean, as far as I know, that's the first time she said that word. Maybe she learned it here."

Quinn rubbed her temples, trying to keep her cool. "Noah, let her explain how they handle this before we jump to conclusions."

"Right." Puck muttered, annoyed. "But this could've been handled without dragging us out of work."

"I know this might seem minor." Miss Greene said, carefully choosing her words. "But it's part of teaching boundaries and helping the kids understand what's appropriate for different situations. We just want to make sure Beth isn't confused about what's okay to say in school versus at home."

"I get it." Quinn replied. "And despite the impression we may have given you, Noah and I take that seriously."

"Yeah, well, just be sure next time that it's worth it to pull us out of work for this kind of thing." Puck added as he stood up, making it clear he was ready to leave.

"I'm confident that there won't be a next time." Miss Greene noted.

Quinn's voice softened, turning to Miss Greene. "Thank you for keeping us informed. I'll talk to Beth tonight."

Miss Greene offered a small, understanding smile. "Thank you for your time, both of you."

Puck rolled his eyes as he exited the room with Quinn following him.

As soon as they were outside, Quinn looked at Puck.

"You couldn't just let me handle it, could you?"

"I was in the middle of a recording session." Puck replied. "They could've told us this over the phone or in a text or email or something. It's not a big deal."

"You're making it into one." Quinn pointed out.

"It was a waste of time, Q." Puck stated. "I mean, picture Beth falling down and cursing. It's funny."

"Okay, maybe it's a little funny." Quinn admitted, smiling slightly as the image played out in her mind. "But I know she learned that word from you."

"In my defense, I told her she's only allowed to say bad words at home in front of Daddy." Puck responded.

"You're impossible." Quinn said, shaking her head. "But I love you."

"I love you."
