"Hey, Mama." Mercedes called. "Do you have a second?"
Quinn nodded. "Sure."
"I wanted to make sure you're okay." Mercedes began. "And make sure we're good."
"Why wouldn't we be good? I'm the one who invited you to come back to the New Directions." Quinn pointed out.
"I'm not talking about me leaving the glee club." Mercedes clarified. "I'm talking about Puck. And Sam."
Quinn furrowed her eyebrows.
"I dated Puck when you were pregnant." Mercedes reminded Quinn. "If I didn't, maybe you guys would've been able to figure things out. And now Sam wants to make things official, and I know you had a thing with him, and I don't wanna steal all of your boyfriends because I-"
"Mercedes." Quinn interrupted. "I told you to date Noah when I was pregnant, and I knew who he was before I was involved with him. You have nothing to do with how things ended between us."
"I know, but now with Sam..." Mercedes shrugged.
"I didn't appreciate Sam when we were together, but he's a good guy and I think you should go for it." Quinn advised Mercedes.
"Are you sure?" Mercedes asked.
"Yes." Quinn answered. "Look, I appreciate you asking, but everyone in glee club has dated so incessantly anyway. But for what it's worth, you have my support or permission or whatever."
"Thanks, Quinn." Mercedes grinned.
"Come here." Quinn smiled as she extended her arms to hug Mercedes.
