The music played loudly in the empty studio while Santana and Brittany warmed up. Santana stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection, her brow furrowed in concentration. Brittany was seated on the floor, humming along to the music as she stretched her legs.

"Okay." Santana said. "Whenever you're ready."

Brittany reached her arms out towards Santana, and Santana grabbed them and pulled Brittany to her feet.

"Yesterday was good, but I need it to be great." Santana stated. "I have to nail this audition."

"You got this." Brittany promised. "You're a good dancer, Santana."

"I have a good partner." Santana smiled.

The two had always been in sync when it came to choreography. Their styles were different, sure—Santana's sharp, precise movements paired with her fierce attitude, and Brittany's fluid, almost ethereal approach to the same steps.

Brittany was a better dancer, but when they worked together, their strengths complemented each other perfectly.

The music kicked back in, and Santana led the way with a controlled step forward. She snapped her body to the beat, making sure each movement had power without losing its grace. Brittany followed, matching the energy but adding her own flavor.

Brittany could see the perfection in Santana's form even when it was less technical than her own movements.

They had grown so much, not just as dancers, but as a team. They had been dating for over a year now, and every movement felt like an unspoken language between them.

When Santana and Brittany reached the end of the song, Santana paused, her chest heaving slightly as she caught her breath. She wasn't quite ready to be done dancing. She moved, throwing Brittany off.

"What just happened?" Brittany asked when they stopped. "You had it."

"I... I don't know." Santana replied, mischievously.

Brittany raised her eyebrow, realizing what Santana was doing. She smirked as she decided to play along. "Should we try it again?"

"Yeah, let's try it one more time." Santana agreed.

Brittany nodded, hiding her smile as she and Santana started dancing again. As usual, she was giving it her all.

When they finished, Brittany looked at Santana, who was grinning at her.

"That's it." Santana stated, clapping her hands together. "We did it, Britt."

Brittany grinned, holding out her hand for Santana to join her again. Santana took Brittany's hand, letting her lead her in a playful tango.

They continued for a while, despite the movement not fitting the music. When they messed up, they started laughing and goofing around together, spinning and jumping around the room.

Santana looked at Brittany, a sense of accomplishment settling over her.

"You're gonna kill it." Brittany grinned. "You got this."
