Quinn quickly walked down the sidewalk, her thoughts all over the place as she mentally reviewed Beth's Christmas list.
Quinn almost spilled her coffee when she saw Puck.
It wasn't the Puck she remembered. He looked different. He had a full head of hair, and his face looked exhausted and worn out. His broad shoulders were slumped, and Quinn could practically see the weight of the world on him.
"N-Noah." Quinn stuttered.
"Hey, Q." Puck replied, his voice rough.
"I saw Jake yesterday." Quinn stated. "He didn't tell me you were back. Or that you were like this."
Puck nodded slowly. "I didn't want you to know."
"Why?" Quinn questioned Puck.
"Because." Puck answered.
Quinn shook her head, trying to get a handle on everything she was feeling before she said anything else. She was angry that Jake hadn't told her and she was upset about Puck's situation.
"I didn't want you or Beth to see me like this." Puck added. "Especially not after the way we left things. The way I left things."
"No matter what, I would wanna know that you were home." Quinn responded. "And I would wanna know how you were doing."
Puck furrowed his eyebrows. "Why?"
"Because you're family." Quinn reminded Puck. "To me and to Beth. And I don't want you to live like this."
"You don't have to worry about me." Puck promised.
"I wanna help you get back on your feet." Quinn told Puck.
"I don't want your help, Quinn." Puck insisted.
"Well, just because you've given up on yourself, doesn't mean I have." Quinn responded. "So will you let me help you?"
"Okay." Puck gave in. He hesitated for a moment and looked at Quinn. "Thank you."
