"We're here!" Brittany announced, vibrating with happiness and excitement as she and Santana stepped off the plane.

Santana laughed in amusement as she looked at Brittany.

"It's official!" Brittany added. "We're finally on our honeymoon."

Santana squeezed her hand, and the pair headed to retrieve their bags.

-

Brittany and Santana curled up beside each other in the car to the hotel, silently taking in the beautiful sights of the island.

When they arrived at the hotel, Brittany eagerly grabbed the bags and led the way inside.

"I'm Brittany and this is Santana. We need to check in, please." Brittany said. "We're on our honeymoon."

"Congratulations!" The receptionist said. "And welcome. Here are your keys, Miss Pierce and Miss Lopez."

Santana grabbed the keys and smiled. "Thank you."

"We've upgraded your room, free of charge." The receptionist added. "Alan will take you to it."

"Thank you so much." Brittany grinned.

"Congratulations! And enjoy your stay."

The newlyweds followed the bellhop to their room, their eyes widening as they explored it.

The room was everything they could have dreamed of and then some. A massive king-sized bed with soft, white linens sat in the center of a room filled with plush furniture, candles, rose petals, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the shimmering ocean.

Normally, Santana would've thought it was cheesy as hell, but with Brittany, it was so romantic and perfect.

Brittany wrapped her arms around Santana and kissed her cheek.

"I love you."

"I love you, too." Santana smiled. "Let's enjoy this view."

Brittany nodded, her arms wrapped around each Santana, and the pair watched as the sky melted into shades of pink and orange.

"It's so beautiful." Santana said. "Living in New York City almost makes me forget how pretty a skyline of nothing but sunset is."

"And stars." Brittany added in agreement.

-

The next few days were a blur of perfect relaxation. They spent mornings lounging on the beach with Brittany in the water and Santana working on her tan.

Afternoons were filled with spa treatments from massages to facials to mani / pedis.

"We should try the hot stone couple's massage." Santana suggested one afternoon.

"They put hot rocks on my skin?" Brittany asked, doubtful.

"It's not like that." Santana shook her head. "It's relaxing. They use rocks to melt all the tension away."

"Will it burn me?" Brittany wondered.

"No." Santana promised.

"Okay." Brittany gave in, her trust in Santana evident. "I'll try it."

Santana smiled. "It'll be great."

Santana and Brittany spent a lot of time just being together—exploring hidden beach coves, enjoying candlelit dinners with the sand between their toes, and walking hand-in-hand through during sunset while Brittany did anything and everything to make Santana smile and laugh.

It was a nice contrast to their busy but beautiful life together in New York, and they were making the most of every single second of it.

-

One night, Brittany and Santana found themselves at a little beachside restaurant. The atmosphere was intimate, with candles flickering on each table and the sound of gentle waves hitting the shore.

Brittany insisted they try the lobster. Santana gave her a look but agreed to taste it anyway.

"I can't believe you got me to eat seafood that's not sushi." Santana teased after a few bites.

"You got me to try the rock massage." Brittany said with a laugh. "Besides, you like it."

"That's true." Santana smiled. "And I do, but let's keep that between us."

Brittany reached across the table, her fingers brushing lightly over Santana's hand. "I love you."

"I love you, too." Santana said confidently as she squeezed Brittany's hand. "This is perfect."

Brittany nodded. "I'm so glad we're here."

"This is all I've ever wanted."

-

The rest of their time on the island passed in a blissful blur. The newlyweds spent one afternoon hiking up to a waterfall, where they stopped for a moment to take in the view. Santana stood close behind Brittany, her hands wrapped around her waist as they watched the water, the mist cooling their faces.

"You're so perfect, just the way you are." Santana whispered, brushing a lock of hair behind Brittany's ear before cupping her cheek. "How did I get so lucky?"

"I'm lucky." Brittany smiled and kissed Santana softly. She pulled away and looked at her. "You taste like tanning lotion and sea salt."

Santana laughed. "So do you."

-

When Santana and Brittany returned to their room that night, they collapsed onto the bed together, getting tangled in the soft sheets.

Santana settled with her head on Brittany's chest, curled up close to her.

"This." Brittany said, softly. "Is my favorite part of being married to you. Just being with you."

Santana smiled. "Me too."

Brittany kissed the top of Santana's head before pulling her closer. "I love you, Santana Lopierce."

"I love you, too, Brittany Lopierce."
