Hogwarts has its secrets, some better known than others. One such secret is the Dating Club, what's that dating club? Simple. If you're looking for a partner, whether it be a girlfriend or boyfriend, it doesn't matter to Cupid.

How you sign up is writing a letter to Cupid, no one actually knows who cupid is but he rarely failed at knowing you and who you match with.

In the letter you tell cupid a little about yourself and what your looking for, here is a letter Cupid received earlier this year.

'Dear Cupid,

I have almost given up on love. I've dated a number of times over my time at Hogwarts but have only been used and gotten hurt. It's my last year at Hogwarts and by this point in life my parents and their parents before them had already found each other.

As I already mentioned I'm in my seventh year, I'm in Ravenclaw. I enjoy reading, I also enjoy relaxing by the black lake and taking strolls through the forest. I like playing Wizards chess and my favorite classes have to be Care of Magical Creatures and Defense Against the Dark Arts.

I'm looking for a boyfriend, someone who will go for walks with me, play chess with me, study with me. Listen to my rambles about everything and nothing. Someone that won't abandon me on my bad days.

I know I'm asking for a lot and maybe I'll never find someone perfect but I want to find my someone.

Y/n Y/l/n'

Upon arrival to Cupid he read the letter, wrote it out again. Leaving out the name at the bottom Cupid scribbled out the note again then duplicating it. Then withdrawing a pile of papers begun to read through them.

Cupid picked out 5 to begin with sending Y/n a copy of each along with a heart shaped stamp, cupid then sent the duplicates of her letter out to the boys.

Once receiving the letters if they are interested, they use the stamp on the page then send them back if both people stamp the papers, they can start owling each other.

In response to Y/n's owl she received five letters she stamped three of the five but only matched with two.

Here are the two letters she matched with.

'Hi,

I'm a seventh year Gryffindor. I've always struggled to find someone who likes me for me. Most girls just want to date me or my brother they don't care which, but they want us for our legacy not for us as individuals.

I want to find someone who can look past that and see me for me. My time at Hogwarts has nearly come to an end while I have taken my time here for granted, Hogwarts has been the best years of my life. I want someone that can share in that.'

'I don't know why I'm writing this. I don't need to write this, who wouldn't want to date me.

----- said I shouldn't be so stuck up.

hi,

I'm taking over now cause my bro needs a girlfriend that isn't -----. We are in our fifth year, Slytherin.

We are hoping to find someone who can soften -----. He is a stubborn fool.'

It hadn't said much but Y/n was open to the challenge. Though the second letter was from a student that was younger than her she wouldn't mind getting to know him.

After stamping both she sent them back to cupid. After hearing back from both parties, he sent back the letters now essentially opening a channel between the two parties.

All letters went through cupid. That was how cupid keep both parties safe as they got to know each other.

Y/n thought she would sit back and wait to see wither the boys would mail her first and that they did.

For the point of this story, I will refer to the two gents as 1. being the first letter, she received the Gryffindor seventh years and 2. being the fifth year Slytherin.

1. 'Hi,

It's nice to meet you... well talk to you. I want to get to know you and I hope you want to get to know me in return.

Here is a couple questions for you:

What kind of books do you enjoy? Other than of course the lesson books.

Why are Care of Magical Creatures and Defense Against the Dark Arts your favorite classes?'

2. 'Hi,

~ * .

I'm glad you responded to our letter. You are honestly the first person who has. We had almost forgotten we had sent it in.

We would love to hear more about you. We can answer any questions on -----'s behalf.'

If it isn't yet obvious Cupid makes a point to remove names if they are put in the letter.

(Y/n's P.O.V)

Upon receiving the letters, serval weeks apart, I sent a reply first to Gryffindor as my friends and I had been calling him.

Gryffindor's letter had been the first to arrive and we had sent a number of letters back and forth before a month later Slytherin's letter arrived.

Let me first tell you how it's going with Gryffindor. I was rather pleased to find he wanted to get to know me and in-turn invited me to get to know him.

Here was what I wrote back to him.

'Hello,

I'm excited to get to know you and for you to get to know me.

To answer your questions, outside of my studies I enjoy reading lots of romance books, though my Dad thinks I'm to young to read them so I put the covers of the class books on my romance books knowing he will never read them.

Care of Magical Creatures id one of my favorites because I find the creatures so adorable, and sweet along with the fact I'm very big on creature's rights, wither that be 'creatures of near human intelligence' or the common barn owl they are all so important to the natural order of life.

Defense Against the Dark Arts is one of my favorites because while growing up my Papa worked in a job that meant he used a lot of Defense Against the Dark Arts. He taught me a lot even before my time at Hogwarts, it was always a large part of my life.

You mentioned in your original letter that you feel you took your time at Hogwarts for granted, what's something you wish you had done while you had the chance?'

I was giddy as I sealed the letter making my way to the owlery. Every Gryffindor I passed I wondered if that was him, or maybe if they were his friend. A burning question as to who it was I was mailing.
