Duncan sighed as he stared at the broken down engine he was working on today. The old pick up truck had been driven in a few days ago, it's owner complaining of it always stalling. And of course, Duncan had assured the man he's have it up and running again. But for some reason, he couldn't figure out what the hell was causing the stalling. It was driving him up a wall. No pun intended.

"Ugh come on you piece of shit," he growled as he tried to start the engine again, but it sputtered a few times before shutting off. Duncan cursed and slammed his head down onto the steering wheel. He got out of the truck and walked back into the front of the truck, popping open the hood and leaning over it, pulling a flashlight out of his pocket and clicking it on. He was so focused on the thing, that he didn't notice a tan brunette enter his shop.

"Um, excuse me? But is this where I can get some help with a flat tire?" she said, her light, airy voice filling the space between them.

Duncan clicked the flashlight off with a sigh, he grabbed an old rag that was beside him and wiped the oil off of his hands

"Yeah, I can change a tire-" he said, turning around slowly. But his voice was sucked out of him when he saw who was standing in front of him, and he dropped the rag. An utterly beautiful woman. Her brown hair was falling around her heart-shaped face. Freckles were splashed across the space between her eyes. Her large, onyx eyes slowly widened when she saw him. Before narrowing again.

Courtney was standing in front of him.

"Uh," she said, her throat moving as she swallowed hard "D-Duncan?"

Duncan kept staring at her. It had been so long since they had spoken, or even seen each other. Not since World Tour had ended. About 4 years ago.

"Never mind," she said. Her voice growing sharp "I'll find somewhere else," She turned and began walking back towards the door. He panicked.

"Wait!" he said, reaching a hand out. Surprising her, and himself by his suddenness. He cleared his throat "I mean, there isn't another shop for nearly 12 miles. With a flat tire, how are you going to get there? Walk?"

Courtney slowly eyed him, as though she was contemplating her options. But she knew he was right. Damn it.

"Alright," she said. Trying to make her voice sound tougher than she was currently feeling.

"Where's the car?" he asked. She slowly nodded her head towards the door. And walked out, he looked around his shop, before quickly following her.

She walked over to her silver Hyundai Sonata that was precariously parked on the side of the road right outside his shop. One side of the car was clearly off balance, obviously from a flat tire. She stopped and wrapped her arms around herself, as a chilly Fall breeze brushed past them. She hugged her sweater closer to her, wishing she had worn pants and not her black pencil skirt.

Duncan was the absolute last person she was expecting to help her. She was traveling to her Parents home for the weekend, when suddenly her right front tire decided to take a crap on the dirt road she was traveling down. Luckily, her car came to a stop in front of the Auto Body shop. She walked inside, expecting to see some huge, greasy man. Instead, she found her devilishly handsome ex boyfriend. Hunched over a pick up truck's hood.

She would be lying if she said he didn't look good. He was wearing a white button down shirt, with loose, baggy black jeans. Instead of his red converses, he now wore a pair of black leather boots. His shirt was riddled with oil stains, and his once shaved black hair was now grown out. He had it flipped to one side, the jet black hair looked wet with clean sweat. He had a few new tattoos on his arms, and one on his upper back, between his shoulder blades, and a thin layer of scruff riddled his carved chin and jaw.
