Laundry Day

Courtney's roommate watched as the taller girl stuffed a majority of her clothes into her laundry basket. Grumbling to herself as she went, she was wearing a pair of soft cotton pink PJ bottoms, and a matching sports bra. Her brown hair pulled up in a loose ponytail.

"I don't understand why you do this. You wait until most of your clothes are dirty to go down and get them washed. Why?" Emma-her roommate- asked. Courtney sighed a little as she threw on a pair of running shoes

"I do it like this so I can get it all done in one big trip. Verses a bunch of little trips every week. Plus, I've just been so crammed this week with finals that laundry was the last thing on my mind," Courtney explained, as she walked to the door of their dorm room. Emma shrugged and threw herself down onto her green sheets

"Whatever you say, Mrs. Perfect," she teased, Courtney scoffed and pushed the door open. It slid shut as she walked down the long hallway. Various music could be heard on the other sides of the doors she passed. Rock, punk, pop, country. You name it. That's what she got for living in a co-ed dorm building.

Courtney skipped the elevator and decided to head down the three flights on stairs to get to the ground level laundry room. Her change jingling in her pockets as she went. She hated looking so disheveled, but all of her clothes were currently sitting in a heap in her basket. So she had no choice. As long as she was covered, she was fine.

Courtney hit ground level and made a sharp turn down the hall towards the laundry room. The hallway smelling like fresh paint, the art kids had just painted a mural on the wall a few days ago. Courtney wondered as to why they felt the need to paint the walls of the laundry room hallway. But she didn't care enough to ask, she had more important things to do.

Courtney pushed open the heavy set of metal doors, and was greeted by a warmly lit room filled with washers and dryers. It smelled like clean cotton and mop liquid. Courtney's onyx eyes scanned the room, most of the machines seemed to be taken. Her eyes spotted an unused machine in the back, and she quickly began advancing towards it, determined to get to it before anyone else.

Just as she went to set her laundry basket on the machine, claiming it, another basket made its way there first. And a rather tall man stood in front of the machine. Courtney growled

"Oh hell no," she hissed to herself. Courtney rushed forward and tried nudging the man out of her way. The guy seemed surprised, but quickly began pushing her back

"Ugh!" Courtney growled "Get lost! I saw this machine first!"

"Well tough luck, Princess! I set my stuff down first, which means it's mine!" the guy challenged her back. Courtney dug her heels into the ground as she tried using her shoulder to shove him away.

The guy was impressed, she was small, but she sure as hell was strong.

Courtney clenched her jaw and gave one last rough push, the guy stumbled away. And she threw him a smirk over her shoulder

"Oops. Sorry," she drawled, as she pushed his black basket to the side, she opened the machine and went to slide her quarters in.

But the guy reached up, and slammed the top shut, missing her delicate fingers by merely an inch. Courtney glared at him

"Are you insane? You could have broken my fingers you neanderthal!" she yelled at him. The guy chuckled, his teal eyes slowly narrowing to slits. As he picked up his basket and opened the lid again

"Too bad I missed," he said. Courtney stood there, her eye twitching. Her hands slowly clenching to fists at her sides. Who the hell did this guy think he was? Stealing her machine?

Well, technically he did get to it first.

Oh shut up. You know you need this machine Courtney. All your clothes are dirty. If you don't wash them today, what will you possibly wear for classes tomorrow?

Courtney slowly watched as he began putting his quarters in the machine, her thoughts scrambled. She didn't know what to do.

Slowly, ever so slowly, an idea came to her mind. And her perfect lips turned upward in a smirk.

Courtney slowly reached up and pulled her hair tie out of her hair, letting the brown waves fall down around her face. She slowly walked over, and placed a warm hand on the guy's shoulder.

The man slowly looked down at her, surprised by her suddenness. His gorgeous teal eyes shinning, and he pushed a hand through his black hair. Courtney slowly leaned against the machine, as she slid her soft body against his.

"You know, I never really noticed how handsome you are," Courtney said, a flirtatious tone to her words. The guy raised one pierced brow

"Oh really?" he purred. Courtney nodded and slowly raised her tan hands to set them on his toned chest. If she wasn't in the middle of her plan, she would say he was rather handsome.

In a I'm-A-Bad-Boy- sort of way. With piercings, black hair, and tattoos.

And those eyes. Gosh. Those gorgeous teal eyes.

Courtney snapped out of her thoughts, and slowly moved her hands up his chest. His eyes tracked her every move, as though he was one to always be cautious.

"You're in my third period advanced arts class. Courtney? Courtney Taint?" he said. She smiled at him, and giggled a little.

"I like hearing you say my name," she purred. Courtney moved forward, pressing her body against his more tightly. She felt him stiffen, but slowly relax, as his hands snaked their way up to grab on to her ass. She resisted the urge to kick him.

"Well maybe we should take this back to my dorm then. Where I'm sure you'll be hearing me say your name a little more loudly," he said, and smirked. Courtney ignored her heart fluttering, as he slowly leaned forward, his eyes closing. And his lips traveled towards her's. Courtney puckered her lips, closing her eyes...

And suddenly she moved her knee upward, and in one swift moment, she kneed him right in the crotch.

The guy doubled over in pain, crying out. He grabbed his crotch as he sunk down to his knees. Courtney slowly straightened out her clothes, and placed her hands on her hips. Smirking down at him.

Courtney turned away and stuffed her clothes into the washer, she started the load and added her detergent.

Closing the lid slowly, she bent down and picked up her basket, balancing it on her hips. She gave one last smirk down at him. As he withered in pain on the floor

"Sorry Duncan," she said, as she walked towards the door "I just really needed that machine,"

Courtney's laugh rang through the room, as the door shut behind her.

Courtney hummed a little as she flipped through the pages in her book. She was laying on her back in her bed, her legs balanced casually against the wall. Emma was in the shower, she could smell her favorite grapefruit body wash.

There was a knock at their door, and Courtney closed her book, slowly sitting up. Her brows creased together in confusion, as she walked over to the door.

Courtney opened the door slowly, and raised a brow when she saw no one there, she stuck her head out and looked side to side. Down the hallways, still no one.

She slowly looked down at her feet, and saw her laundry basket of clothes sitting on the ground. She bent down, and gasped when she felt they were all still completely soaking wet. As though someone had pulled them right out of the rinse cycle. Courtney dug around and her hands wrapped around a piece of paper. She grabbed it and brought it towards her face. It was a note. As she read it, she felt her blood begin to boil, and her teeth clenching

You should know better than to leave your laundry unattended, Princess. I'm sure you can just hang it to dry, that is... If I didn't steal anything.

Love, Duncan.

Courtney's hands clenched to fists, and the note crumbled in her hands.
