I Stand With You

I'm not quite sure how to start this. Or how to even go about beginning to think about this.

Over the past 5 years I have been on this site, I have had the privilege to write stories that make me happy, and be able to share all of those with you. I started writing on this site when I was at the lowest point in my life. I didn't expect anything out of it, other than to type out my thoughts and ideas. My first story I ever wrote "Taking Chances" got so much more attention an love than I ever thought it would. Reaching over 2k reads in less than a month after I published it. I was in awe of how incredibly powerful this fandom truly is. How relieved I felt to finally have an outlet to write. I suddenly didn't feel so alone anymore. And I will never be able to truly put into words how much I love all of you, and how thankful I am for you all.

With that being said. I am also aware of the following I have on here and how large it has gotten over the years. It's not crazy, but it far exceeds the amount I ever thought I would have.

I'm sure you have all seen the news. I live in America, and my country is hurting. We are in the middle of the largest civil action movement in history. Cities are burning. Lives are being lost. We are angry. We are hurting. The idea that this even has to happen now, as of 2020, is appalling. I am white. As white as one can be. I will never understand what these people are going though and I never will.

But I sure as hell can stand with them. Fight with them. We all bleed the same. We deserve to be protected by police, not afraid of them. They deserve justice. They deserve rights.

Black Lives Matter is so much more than a hashtag. Its so much more than thinking posting about it once will make a difference.

I don't like to get serious on this website. But I've done it before with the Vegas shooting and I will continue to do it until justice is served. Until the laws change. Until people no longer need to fear the color of their skin is used as a weapon.

I love you all, we are all in this together. We can make a change.

Down below I have added a few links to help. Please, stay safe. And say informed.
