16-year-old Courtney Taint laughed as her friend, Bridgette, tried to balance a fry on her nose as the rest of their team mates sat with each other in the food tent.

"Statistically speaking, she shouldn't be able to do that. Her nose is much smaller than the fry," Harold commented, Duncan snorted and rolled his teal eyes

"Shut it, dork," he snapped.

The cast of Total Drama Island were all gathered in the tent for breakfast, but Chef seemed to be missing from the equation.

"Where's our wonderful host?" Heather snapped, while checking her face in her powder mirror. Gwen watched her with disgust

"Make up, really? That stuff attracts so many bugs," she said. Heather glared at her

"Shut it weird goth girl,"

"Attention all campers! Meet me at the dock of shame in 5 minutes for your next challenge, or else!" Chris's loud annoying voice blared over the speakers. Duncan sighed

"just when I thought we were free for a day," he said, nudging Geoff, who snickered.

5 minutes later, all the campers were standing shoulder to shoulder on the dock of shame, as Chef paced in front of them wearing a troop leader outfit.

"Listen up maggots! I'm in charge of today's challenge! It's a basic training challenge. I'm going to snap you all into shape!" he boomed. Courtney flinched, and Duncan smirked at her. She felt her heart flutter a little

Don't let him fool you, Courtney!

Courtney blinked at the weird voice in her head. It sounded exactly like hers. But.. older somehow.

"Your first challenge, is to hold this canoe above your head until you can't anymore," Chef said. Gwen shrugged

"Doesn't seem too hard," she said.

2 hours later, Courtney found herself holding the canoe above her head, Chris was on top of it. Making it all the more difficult. Her arms were shaking, burning. And her stomach was grumbling

"I guess they missed dinner!" Chris mused, Chef laughed

"I guess they just weren't hungry!" he said

"Ow!" Harold snapped, as he felt a sharp pull on his underwear, he let go of the canoe to rub his sore rump. Courtney rolled her eyes as she watched Duncan and Geoff laugh.

I know what you're thinking, but please... Don't fall for him. Don't do that to yourself. You'll regret it, trust me!

Courtney scrunched her brows together upon hearing that damn voice again. Who was this girl? And why was she talking to her like she knew the future or something?

"Shut up," she whispered to herself.

Don't you tell me to shut up. I'll have my lawyers on you, even if you are me!

Courtney swallowed hard. Okay, so this voice definitely was her. But why was she speaking to her?

Lindsey ended up quitting, meaning the Killer Bass were in the lead. Courtney felt giddy as she dropped the canoe. She moaned and rubbed her insanely sore arms.

"Meet in the mess hall for your next challenge, maggots!" Chef ordered. Courtney could feel a headache coming on.

"Great, there's more," Gwen muttered to Trent as they walked in front of her to the mess hall. She smirked. She liked Gwen. She was strange, but she liked her.
