(So I've been writing the shit outta this story since all of you gave me such good ideas. And I've decided to share a snippet from one of the later chapters in the book. Tell me what y'all think!)

Courtney huffed as she carried the three dresses in her hands, making sure they didn't touch the ground as she walked up the three flights of stairs to get to Skye's apartment.

She was glad Skye had agreed to helping her pick out which dress she was going to wear to the 10 Year Total Drama Special. Because she had no clue what she was wearing. Her stylist had hand picked so many nice options, but she needed some extra help narrowing it down to one.

Courtney walked down the hallway to Skye's door and knocked on the door with her foot.

"I'm coming in, I need to set these down!" Courtney said, balancing the dresses in one hand and turning the handle to Skye's apartment door with the other. Opening the door, she looked around and went inside. Gently closing the door behind her. Courtney walked over to the couch and gently set the dresses down, before blowing her bangs out of her face.

Courtney looked around Skye's apartment, looking for the shorter girl. "Skye?" she called. Courtney walked around the coffee table and smiled when she saw all of the pictures on the wall. Courtney liked Skye's apartment. It looked so comfy, homey.

There were tons of pictures on the walls, many of what Courtney assumed was of her and her family, her cat, her friends from home.

One picture, however, caught her eye.

It was of Skye and Duncan. It looked rather new. They were laughing in the picture. It was at the Maple Fest that Muskoka held every year. Skye was holding a bag of maple cotton candy, and Duncan had his arm around her, his tattoos peaking out from his leather jacket. Skye was smiling at the camera, but Duncan was looking down at her, an endearing look on his face. His smirk had been morphed into an actual smile, and his teal eyes were softer than they normally were.

It didn't look like a picture two friends would take, was her point.

Courtney swallowed hard, as she slowly reached up to grab the picture off of the wall, to take a better look-

"Hey babe, have you seen my razor?" Duncan asked, walking around the corner into the living room. A black towel hung low on his hips, and he smelled of his favorite sandalwood body wash.

His eyes widened in shock when he saw Courtney standing in the middle of the room, her hand resting on the picture of Duncan with Skye. Her eyes were glued to him, wide.

Courtney quickly looked away from his almost naked self, and cleared her throat

"I think I should go.." she mumbled, beginning to walk to the door

Duncan quickly moved forward "No, wait- let me explain-"

"Explain what!?" Courtney snapped at him "That you lied to me about her? Again? When you brought her to my party, you said she was just a friend you met at the Vet Hospital. Now I'm over at her apartment, seeing pictures of you two together and you're walking around in a towel calling her babe? Yeah.. You two seem really friendly,"

Duncan swallowed hard, but kept a straight face "You can be mad at me, but don't be mad at her. It isn't her fault. I asked her to lie about us." he said.

"Why?" Courtney questioned "Haven't you learned that I really don't like lying?"

Duncan sighed a little "Because she was new here. I introduced her to all of my friends, all of you guys. And I didn't want your first impression of her to be a bad one. She doesn't need anymore stress in her life. I wanted to make things easier for her," Duncan explained, running a hand through his wet hair.

Courtney sighed a little "Duncan, we aren't teenagers anymore. I can handle the thought of you having a new... girlfriend? Fuck buddy?"

Duncan looked at her "Skye isn't just some fuck buddy. I really care about her, Court," he said, softly. "I'm sorry for lying to you. I did it to protect her."

"Protect her from what?" Courtney asked "Me?"

Duncan chuckled "Although you can be pretty scary, no. Not from you. From the press. If the world found out I was dating Skye they'd lose it. My fans would be pissed. Seems how they're so caught up with the whole Duncney thing. If they saw I was with someone new, they'll go after her like a dog with a bone. Just like they did with Gwen. And Skye just got used to being so close to the press when ever she was with me. I don't want her to have to deal with them following her now too,"

Courtney slowly smiled faintly "You really care about her, don't you?" she asked.

Duncan swallowed hard, and nodded slowly "Yes," he said with certainty.

"Babe, I got your razors from the store," Skye said, opening her door to her apartment. Only to stop dead when she saw Courtney and Duncan in her living room. Duncan was in his towel she had bought him for when he stayed over night. And Courtney had a look on her face that made Skye panic

"Courtney I can explain," Skye started, but Courtney held up her hand and smiled weakly at Skye

"Save it, Skye. Duncan already told me you guys were together. And I'm okay. I swear," she said. Skye stared at her in shock, but she slowly closed her apartment door and walked over to them, still cautious.

"Hey Angel," Duncan smiled at her. Skye smiled at him but slowly looked at Courtney

"So, when did this start?" Courtney asked. Duncan slowly reached up and tucked a lock of Skye's hair behind her ear

"About 2 months ago," he said. Skye nodded a little.

"Are you bringing her to the party?" Courtney asked, looking at Duncan who swallowed hard.

"If she'd like that. Angel, you wanna go with me?" he asked, looking down at Skye. Who's eyes widened

"You mean like.. As your date?" she asked. He chuckled and nodded a little.

"I say we make it official tonight. I want to go to this party with you on my arm as my girl." Duncan said "I don't give a shit what anyone has to say,"

Courtney laughed "I'm gonna warn you, I may be nice... But I know someone who won't be as welcoming to your new young girlfriend," Courtney warned. Duncan cursed and growled a little

"Shit... I forgot Gwen was going," he cursed. Skye looked up at Duncan confused

"Why should I worry about Gwen?" she asked. Courtney chuckled

"Because Gwen is a bitch. She's not gonna like the fact that Duncan is dating some American girl whose six years younger than him," Courtney warned.

Skye stiffened a little, and looked at Duncan nervously.

"Don't worry babe, I'll protect you from the bitches," he smirked
