(A/N- I had this crazy idea. What if the roles were switched? Like, Duncan cheated on Gwen with Courtney instead of the other way around? Like instead of Duncney starting in season one, it had been Gwen and Duncan? No Gwent at all?)
Gwen smiled big into the camera as she shut the door to the confessional behind her. She sat down on the seat and cleared her throat
"So, Duncan's back!" she cheered "I'm so glad Courtney and I found him in London. I was worried I'd never see him again,"
Gwen blushed and made a silly love-struck smile, before it slowly faded. Her eyes darkening, and she looked at the camera "Now, all I have to do is make sure Courtney keeps her preppy hooks out of my boyfriend. She wouldn't dare go near him. She values her teeth too much,"
Gwen walked out of the confessional, just in time to see Duncan walk towards her to get to the first class part of the plane.
"Duncan, where you going? I'm right here," she called, waving over to him. He slowly stopped and looked back at her
"Oh, hey Pasty," he said casually, walking over with his hands in his pockets. His eyes seemed far away, like he was thinking about something else. He stopped right in front of her, and that's when she reached forward and punched him hard in the arm. He flinched and glared at her, rubbing his arm
"What the fuck, Gwen?" he snapped. She glared at him
"That's for leaving me on this awful show all alone! How could you?" she hissed. Duncan crossed his arms and gave her a bland look as she continued "How could you just leave like that and think it was even remotely okay? Ugh! If you ever do anything like that again, it won't be pretty,"
Duncan's eyes narrowed, before widening as Gwen threw her arms around him, hugging him close "I'm not really mad.. I just missed you," she cooed into his neck. Duncan hugged her back stiffly, before his head snapped up when Courtney walked into the room to get to the confessional. She paused when she saw them hugging
"Every time I ran from the cops, I thought of you," Duncan said. Gwen hugged him tighter, thinking he was talking about her. But his teal eyes stayed locked on Courtney. Even as she backed away awkwardly, inching into the confessional. Shutting the door quickly behind her.
Courtney slumped up against the door, and blew out a long breath. Her bangs falling out of her face, which was flushed. She slowly sat down on the confessional, staring at the camera
"So, Duncan's back. It so nice to know he missed... Us," she squeaked, rubbing her arms. "Of course I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss him. But... He's with Gwen. She'd kill me if I came even close to him. She nearly lost her mind when him and I got closer last season on Total Drama Action." she shook her head with a sigh "We're just friends. That's all,"
Courtney walked out of the confessional, happy to see Duncan wasn't around anymore. She flinched and held her burnt hand close to her as she went back into first class. Gwen and Cody were talking at the bar, while Heather and Sierra were sitting in the super comfy seats munching on cookies. Courtney walked over and sat down next to Gwen. Who swiveled towards her on the stool and smiled big at her
"Hey Court!" she said cheerfully. Courtney flinched, and reached over, pouring herself a smoothie.
"I'm so happy he's back!" Gwen said, with a sigh of delight "He looks good, doesn't he? Gah. He's so perfect, well, he will be. After I change a few things," Gwen held up a list, showing it to Courtney who ignored it
"I just wanna work on my PSAT essay. Sorry Gwen," she mumbled, pulling out her pen and paper. Gwen raised a brow
"But it's summer?" she said, Courtney shrugged
"I like being prepared. Just like how I've already prepared my Student Body President speech," Courtney said proudly. Gwen rolled her eyes
"Bummer.." she mumbled, turning away to talk to Cody some more.
Courtney sighed in relief, and took another sip of her smoothie.
Courtney sighed as she stared out the window of the plane. It was late, and the rest of Team Amazon were fast asleep. Except her. She just couldn't keep her eyes closed for longer than a few seconds.
She usually found her mind filled with new list ideas, and summer school work (she never failed anything, she just usually doubled up on all her classes)
But lately, all she found her mind filled was with Duncan.
Every time I ran from the cops, I thought of you
His words from earlier rang in her ears. The look on his face while he said them would always be burned in the back of her eyelids.
Shaking her head with a silent curse, Courtney walked carefully through first class. Making sure no one was awake, as she left and walked towards the confessional. She yawned a little, as she closed the door and sat down. She cleared her throat
"I don't really know why I've been having these thoughts.. About Duncan. They're ridiculous! He's with Gwen. They're the power couple of the show. Everyone knows that," she shook her head, crossing her arms over her chest.
Just then the door swung open, and Duncan snuffled in. Courtney gasped and covered her mouth
"I forgot to lock the door!?" she gasped. He shook his head
"Nah. The lock is busted. What happened to your paw?" he asked, pointing to her sun-burnt hand. She held it up with a weak smile
"This is going to sound really stupid but.. I have no idea," she said sheepishly. He slowly reached over and grabbed her burnt hand in his own
"Hey!" she flinched in pain, but their eyes slowly locked. And she felt herself relax.
The next thing she knew they were kissing each other passionately. The only thoughts crossing their minds were the feel of each other's lips.
They were too into the moment to notice Tyler stick his head in and his eyes widening when he saw what was going on. Before quickly leaving, like he saw nothing at all.
