"Hello, it's me

I was wondering if after all these years you lied to me

To go over, everything

They say that times supposed to heal ya,

But  ain't done much healing"

Duncan felt the back of his throat start to burn when as he read the title of the article

"Courtney and Scott confirm their engagement! That big rock on Courtney's hand isn't just there for decoration!"

Duncan shook his head and scoffed. Throwing the paper into the trash in his kitchen. His mind couldn't believe the words he had just read. Scott? Really? He thought Courtney had just been using him to get back at him! But apparently not.

She's getting married to that loser and not me.

Duncan stalked over to his fridge and pulled out a can of beer. He opened it, and slowly his eyes wandered towards his cellphone on the table. He bit back the urge to call her again. He must have called her at least a thousand times within the last few weeks.

He couldn't help it, she had been on his mind a lot more lately. With the show's 5 year reunion coming up, he couldn't stand the thought of being in the same room as her without her knowing how he truly felt.

But every time he dialed her number, she'd never answer.

"Hello, can you hear me?

I've been California Dreaming about how we used to be,

When we were younger, and free,

I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet,

There's such a difference, between us,

And a million more,"

Duncan sighed, giving in to his wants and walked over and grabbed his cellphone off of the table. He didn't need to look for her number, he had it memorized.

He always had it memorized.

"Hello from the other side,

I must have called a thousand times,

To tell you I'm sorry, for every thing that I've done,

But when I call you, never seem to be home,

Hello from the other side,

At least I can say that I've tried,

To tell you I'm sorry, for breaking your heart,

But I know it clearly, doesn't tear you apart anymore,"

"Hello, you've reached the voicemail of Courtney Taylor, I can't come to the phone right now-"

Duncan growled and ended the call, slamming his phone down on the table. He ran a hand through his grown-out black hair and cursed.

He shouldn't be so upset. He deserved this. She deserved this. She deserved to be happy after all the bullshit he put her through on that stupid show.

Duncan sighed "I wish I never even went on that fucking show in the first place," he said.

If he had never signed that stupid contract, he never would have gone to that island. He never would have had to jump off cliffs, or eat disgusting food every day and night.
