Kara’s P.O.V.
I was in shock, it was so beautiful. “Blake”
“I love you” he said before I could say anything else. I didn’t know what to say, I mean I love him, but marriage was a HUGE step. “Well? Will you”
Should I do it? …. What the hell am I thinking? He gave the bests gifts in the WORLD! My two bundles of joy, I love this man. We’ve had more good times than bad.
I snap out of it “Yes” I whisper
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, yes!” I smile and kiss him making us fall on the floor. “That’s why you were acting so weird?”
“Yeah, I had no idea what to do or say”
“And Amber? She knew?”
“Yeah, that’s why she called, and I made up that story about D.J.”
I laugh and then ask him “Why?”
He looks deeply into my eyes “I want to spend the rest of my life with you, you really are one of a kind, plus you’ve always been there for me through thick and thin… Oh and my mom’s coming home tomorrow”
“What? Blake! You told me you were gonna tell me---”
“I know, I know” he said cupping my face trying to calm me down “It was sooner than expected, I’m sorry”
“Does she know?” I asked worried
“Uh… no”
“Jesus” I say but then I start to smile.
“What?”
“I can’t believe you asked me to marry you”
“Why not”
“I don’t know, I never saw myself getting married. Oh, and I don’t want anything big Blake… just family and close friends”
“I know” he kisses my forehead
**the next day:
Blake’s P.O.V.
I wake up and go check on the kids, I change their diapers and get ready to go to the airport. Kara was still sleeping and she looked so peaceful I didn’t want to wake her. I kiss her on the head, grab my car keys and head to the airport.
-at airport:
“Hey, baby!” mom hugs me
“Hi, mom. How are you? Where’s dad?”
“I’m fine, your father’s in the bathroom, so how have you been?”
“I’ve been good, I have some news to tell you guys”
“Well, before that, how are my grandkids?”
“They’re fine… I haven’t seen Ford for a while though”
“Love them all equally Blake”
“I know mom, I do. It’s just hard to see him a lot with my schedule… hey dad!”
“Hey, son, how are you?”
“Good, good. Come on let’s go, let’s get out of here”
-at the car:
“So what were you gonna tell us sweetheart?” mom asks
“Oh… Um… Kara and I--- I asked Kara to marry me”
“What?” mom asked shocked.
“Congratulations boy” dad said tapping my shoulder
“Well wait a minute, he didn’t say if she said yes”
