  Dear Alex I didn't know where to ask about the advice colum so here I am. Well I have this problem. I have a boyfriend who likes me but I don't like him back. I'm planning on breaking up with him but I have no idea how to. He asked me and I said yes because I felt really bad......and we'll I don't know how to break up with him. I searched on the Internet but nothing good for me. So can you help with my problem?? I really hope you do and just a nice way to break it off since I'm only 13 and I'm not ready to have a boyfriend again Anyway thanks, lots of love, bye ~ Maddison

Thank you for writing to me. In my opinion, I think you should be honest with the guy and let him know you don't want to hurt him and point out the good things about him but your just not ready to be in any type of relationship right now. And for future advice if you feel bad for someone after they ask you just let them know you feel bad but your just not interested in having a relationship with them. Breaking up with someone can be hard and turning down someone could be harder but remember that your only 13 and youll have plenty of time in the future to date and that can be what you tell the ones that ask you out, just in case you find your self stuck on what to say. Most guys will respect you and if they don't just remember they are young too and are immature about certain things. i hope this helps!
