I believe if you have to ask you should. As long as you get enough courage to because in all honesty, you just really never know what will happen unless you let it play out. I think more than anything you need to get to know this person before pursuing anything and every great love story comes out of friendship. You have to find out if they have the same interests as you, what hobbies they are into, what they want out of there lives. Right now, your infatuated. So yes, I think you should have a conversation with this person to see if they still are attractive to you at the end of it.
