A/N Omg! I'm so sorry that this chapter took so much longer to write than I had expected it to! I lost motivation for awhile there and I'm sorry this is poorly written. teamIdiot
I puff out my chest and try my best to muster up some courage to ask England something. I'm sure he realizes that I've been staring at him for awhile now, but he has yet to say anything. I would just come out and say something, but the. I'd get him mad again.
I don't want to get him mad again because then he won't help me with my homework anymore. I wish that he could just get the hint I'm tryingto talk to him. I don't have time for this, England.
After about ten more minutes he slams his book shut and glares at me, "What do you want?!"
"Finally!" I shout by accident, "Tomorrow is Valentine's day and I need to make chocolates for Jakub!"
"Why are you telling me this? I suck at cooking, remember?"
"Yeah! But I was hoping you could get someone that's actually good at it, like maybe... Alfred or Kiku..."
"Are you serious right now?" He hisses but an evilish grin is present on his lips, "Is this a challenge?! I bet I could make better chocolates than you can!"
"You wanna go?! I'll make the best chocolates know to man!! You'll regret this day for the rest of your life!"
"Ha! As if!"
He growls before quickly bolting towards the door and we both go towards the store to get ingredients. I don't know how me asking for help on making Valentine's chocolatea for Slovakia turned into this, but I guess it works out. I get my chocolate in the end and I won't be alone doing it. That's all I care about.
I sigh before getting all the necessary ingredients to make chocolate. I seriously hope that England isn't planning on making any because he will blow up my house. I hope he's just getting premade chocolate and is going to melt it.
On my way back home I call Slovakia. He answers immediately and I ask, "When will you be getting home?"
"About midnight, I'll be pretty busy, why?" I can hear the worry that is consuming his voice and I chuckle at how cute it is.
I smile and sigh, "Oh nothing, just curious."
He hums, "Don't wait up for me, go straight to sleep."
I roll my eyes and even though he can't see it I nod my head, "Yeah, alright. I'll go straight to sleep. See you in the morning."
"Yeah, see ya." He hangs up. Perfect, it's eight o'clock, if everything goes well then I have more than enough time. Besides if all goes terribly I could always just take England's since he is going to just be melting chocolate, I hope.
As I open up my front door and walk into the kitchen I drop my bags and see how the stove is basically covered in boiled brown goop. I glare at England but he doesn't seem fazed by the whole thing, "It's supposed to be this way."
"No!" I hiss while pushing him out of the way and turning down the stove, "It's not supposed to be that way! I don't want my house to smell like smoke and burnt sugar, thank you very much!"
"I didn't put sugar in yet."
"Oh my God! I haven't even been here a full minute and I think you've been disqualified. Please call someone to help me with this, please." I say while waiting for the stove to cool down so I can clean it - because I don't feel like burning a hole into my towels.
Thirty ish minutes pass by and both America and Japan show up. American laughs at us while Japan and I both vigorously scrap off the hardened demon on the stove, "How is it this rock if you didn't add sugar?"
He simply shrugs and doesn't look up from his book, what a load of help he is. After we get the gunk off of my stove an hour has already passed. It's fine, it's only 9:30, I have more than enough time. "OK, Kiku, Alfred can you help me make chocolate?"
"No can do, dude," America says with a chuckle, "I only know how to eat chocolate."
"Great, Kiku, what about you?"
"I've only ever seen it be made in anime...but I think I can try."
"I need you to tell me that you won't make a mess, please."
"I'll try not to," He says and begins to go to work even though he did not tell me what I requested of him. He begins mixing up some cocoa powder, sugar, and milk together on the pot, but no matter how much he boils it, it remains too liquidy.
"Maybe you weren't supposed to use milk," I say, "Did we even put butter in it?"
"Oh you have Canola oil," England says while glancing up from his book for a split second.
"Perfect!" America shouts while rolling into the kitchen and dumping about half the bottle of oil into the mixture. "I think that's enough!"
"We're not trying to fry it," I growl as now it's just far too greasy to eat. Before it was at least edible. We throw this one away while America cleans up the pot.
This time we decide to check the internet at we end up doing everything correctly. Well I would say that, except I'm pretty sure spilling it all over the floor isn't a step. We sigh and England mops up the mess before it dries. Japan and I try one last time.
It's exactly 11:30 and if we can do this in time we can clean up the mess. Of course it'll have to freeze overnight, but at least we'll have made any at all.
By the end of it we pour it into some heart shaped ice molds and stick it in the freezer. We check the time and see it's a minute until midnight. It'll take him about ten minutes to get home, so if we can manage to hide all the ingredients, mop up the chocolate residue, and destain the pots we'll be golden. Who am I kidding we can't do all that in eleven minutes!
We quickly get to work, trying out best to scrub every individual item that might have touched the chocolates. Bugs aren't exactly something I plan on having anytime soon.
As we finally finish up we look like complete messes, but I'm too tured to wash up. We could just tell him we've been playing in the mud, which isn't totally outlandish.
A few more minutes go by and the door unlocks and Slovakia sees us all covered in powders and chocolate residue on the couch. I'm not entirely surprised that he begins to chuckle to himself, I'm sure I'd laugh if I were him too.
After a few more seconds I stand up and go to hug him but he quickly runs into his room. I laugh before setting the futon out for the others. They barely take note of it and basically instantly fall asleep. I owe them all one for this, especially Japan.
I take a super quick hot shower before plopping onto my bed and falling asleep. The next morning all of the guys are still sleeping on the futon, but I see Slovakia eating the chocolates that we made last night. I stare at him in almost anger almost shock, but he smiles at me and tosses me a few inside a resealable bag. "Thanks for working dso hard to make them, you really didn't have to do this much work though. Store bought chocolates are good too, not as good as this, but good."
I smile and walk over to him and sit beside him, making sure not to sit on one of the guys' legs. He kisses my forehead and wraps his arm around my shoulders, "Thank you."
"No problem..."
