heads up I don't remember how the time line goes so if it's kind of whack, sorry.

"Yokai," I hear and even though I am about 99% sure whoever that is is referring to me, I do not turn. That is what they want me to do and if they think I'm going to fall for their little trick, they're wrong.
To think someone who is able to detect yokai would be so stupid as to think we would blow our own cover. It's truly silly, but who am I to judge? I am a yokai playing as a human, truly the lowest of the low. Not that I have much of a choice though.
I feel something wrap around my wrist and even though I am well aware that it is the person calling for me, I do not stop walking. They tug on my wrist hard and I am forced to turn to them, before I can ask what they want I realize that it is only Kurama.
I whip my arm away from his grasp and groan, "Yes, dumbass?" I retort while continuing my walk to the school.
"That's so unecessary," he groans back and follows close behind me with a snarl, "I just saw you walking and thought I'd walk with you. You going to school, right?" Yeah, that's very unlikely. The rich and famous Kurama decided to walk to school with him? The girl he hates so dearly much?
"Of course I am," I sigh and cross my arms, "where else would I be going? I'm disguised as the average teenage girl, aren't I?"
"I suppose," he hums and looks over me. His face pisses me off, I don't know what it is, but something about it just angers me. It could be due to him being an annoying person or due to the fact that I have to see him on every billboard in the city, either way it pisses me off. "Though, you have been absent the past few weeks and I'm afraid that you missed a few things."
"Yeah, like what?" It isn't like I care about school, human fights are boring and school work is useless. I show up merely to observe the way humans act, it helps me blend in better.
"We have a new student in our class," he tells me and even though I'd ordinarily be uninterested, this is coming from Kurama. If he feels the need to tell me it much be at least vaguely important, "he's a yokai just like us."
"What is another yokai doing in our class? Aren't two enough already?"
"Afraid not," He hums, "he is Nanami Momozono's familiar."
"Familiar!?" I growl as I stop walking, "Since when did she become a God?!"
"Beats me," he hums, "I know that you and her were really close so I didn't know if I should have told you or not, but I decided I would. Remember when you used to not shut up about her? I swear you used to have a crush on her o-"
I hit him hard in the stomach as I continue my walk to school. Kurama and I have been friends for a few months now, I don't remember how we met, but we became close. After awhile he wanted to join public school and decided to join mine, our friendship drained quickly after that. As for Nanami and I, we grew up with one another since our mom's were close friends. I always told Kurama stories about how crazy Nanami would be at times and he would tell me stories about how crazy his fans are.
I guess while I was absent Nanami managed to found a way to become a god. This could be very troublesome.
"What kind of god is she?"
"Land," Kurama responds, "when I transferred to your school a few weeks ago I really didn't know that it was your Nanami so I attacked her. If you had been to school that day I wouldn't have gotten my ass so beat!"
"Serves you right," I sigh, "you deserve whatever beating her familiar gave you. Ah, we're here."
We walk into the school together, I heard some rumors where humans think that the two of us are an item, though that couldn't be farther from the truth. The two of us are barely even friends most of the time, the idea of being in a relationship is absolutely revolting. We switch our shoes out and head to our classroom, I should ask Nanami if she has notes from the following few days, it'd be a pain in the ass if I had to ask Kurama.
