Disclaimer: In this story the character "Lorena" is being played by Dylan Conrique

"So why weren't you here on Friday"
Your best friends Mark asks for the fifth time today.

"I explained this already idiot, I went to a brace fitting"

He starts laughing hysterically in the middle of the hallway as your heading towards your other best friend Lorena's locker.

"Lorena she's getting braces!"

Mark starts laughing hysterically again. She starts laughing too as you stand there watching them with the most monotone expression ever.

"Are you done yet"

They continue laughing for a while.

"Ok we're done now"

"Good let's go to science"

You like going to science because your friends, and your boyfriend were in that class. As the three of you walked in you couldn't help but notice Jenna, one of the popular girls in your grade, sitting in your seat, which happened to be next to Jacob. She and Jacob were laughing at a joke, but when you walked in they both stopped. Jenna looked you up and down almost as if to assert her dominance before speaking.

"Sorry Y/n, same seats as Friday"

You shoot Jacob a look and he kinda ignores it. Mark rolls his eyes and pulls you to sit down with him and Lorena.

"We started a group project on Friday"

Mark explains.

"And she took this chance to try and replace me"

"B*tch"

Lorena mutters under her breath making both you and Mark laugh.

"We told Ms. DeFranco you were in our group so you didn't get stuck with random people"

"You guys are the best"

"We love you too"

Mark said as class starts and you continue working with them. You still had the thought that maybe, Jacob didn't care about you anymore in the back of your head.

~Briiiiiiiing~

The bell rang for first period and you left with Lorena and Mark. You went through your day as normal, but Jacob didn't seem the same. In fact he hasn't talked to you at all that day.

He can't avoid me at his own locker

You think as you walk down the hallway a short distance to his.

"Jacob"

He looks up, but then looks less excited when he realizes it's you.

"Hi"

He answers in a monotone voice.

"What's up with you"

He closes his locker.

"Look were not working out"

His words hit you like a knife.

"What did I do?"

You ask resisting the urge to cry.

"Nothing you were perfect I just...found someone else"
