School is hard for everyone, but it's harder when someone not-so-popular, ends up dating the dream guy of half the girls in your high school. That being said, you found it better to keep a few close REAL friends. Especially since not all of Jacobs friends were the nicest.

"Y/n...Y/n are you listening"

Jacobs friends Mark and Ariel ask nicely.

"Honestly no... I have a lot on my mind"

"Well put it aside because we're all going to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight and your coming"

"No thank you"

You say quietly walking off to class. They follow you since you were going to the same place.

"Are you always this quiet"

Ariel asks being the one who didn't know you as well as Mark did.

"No, ever since she started getting sh*t for dating Jacob she hasn't been the same"

Mark answers.

"You realize I can still here you"

You mutter under your breath as the three of you walk into class together. You keep your eyes on your binder to avoid the stares of the girls who tormented you all the time. You didn't even look at Jacob when you walked by and sat in your seat next to him.

"What's up with you"

He whispers looking concerned.

"Nothing just leave it alone"

"If you want me to leave it alone then it's not nothing"

"It doesn't matter"

Coincidentally your team consists of Jacob, Mark, and Ariel. Possibly a detrimental combination for what you were tryin to hide.

"Are you gonna tell him or should we"

Mark asks giving you that look. You roll your eyes and return your attention to the notes you were scribbling on your paper. Ever so often you would look up to see Mark whispering to Jacob, who had a pained expression on his face.

Mark must be telling him everything

You think to yourself.

When class ended you walk out ahead of your friends. You made it to your locker before someone caught you.

"Y/n wait up!"

Jacob leans on the locker next to yours.

"Why wouldn't you tell me what's been going on"

"It doesn't matter, it's stupid and I don't even care"

You go to walk away, but he grabs your wrist to stop you.

"It's not stupid, and you do care...look at me"

You turn your head to face him, reluctantly meeting his eyes.

"You know we've been dating for almost two years and I've never seen you cry"

"I haven't seen you cry either, what's your point"

"Talking about it, maybe crying about it, would help a lot"

"Crying makes you weak, I don't cry and you'll never see it"

You slam your locker before walking away, and avoiding him for the rest of the day. Little did he know that on that morning alone, you were on the verge of breaking down. You had never felt so hated in your life, and you had never done anything to these people, you didn't even know them. Now at your locker you were hoping you could just go home and drown your problems in ice cream.
