I know there are people in the fandom who are older than Jacob, so this is for you. I thought of it in school, gosh I'm creative. Legit at lunch writing this. K bye. I had to alter the ages slightly for effect, so don't take offense please. Thank you.
"Don't be a creep and fall for any of the
freshmen, k Y/n"
Mark jokes as you stand up from your seats at the breakfast table. It was the first day of sophomore year and you couldn't wait for the new year to begin. You laugh to yourself at his joke. Most likely you wouldn't even have classes with any. You split up and make your way to class. The first wasn't far considering it was on the first floor, so you make your way there with ease. As your heading into the room, a group of kids look frantically from their schedules to the numbers on the doors, and being the nice person you are, you decided to help them out.
"Are you guys lost?"
You ask nicely walking up to them.
"Yeah I can't find Miss..."
A kid with fluffy brown hair and hazel eyes makes eye contact with you and his sentence trails off.
"Miss?"
You question waiting for him to tell you. One of his friends rolls heir eyes and shoves his schedule in your face.
"Oooh Broderick...your on the wrong floor"
You chuckle to yourself pointing towards the stairwell. They nod, thank you, and then head off in the direction.
"Don't you want to go with them?"
You ask the brunette kid.
"N-no I have a different class"
He says holding his schedule towards you. You take it and look for his first period.
"Funny, I'm going there too. We can go together if you want"
He nods and you walk down the hall.
"Are you knew here?"
You ask not remembering seeing him in your grade before.
"No...well kinda"
He answers turning towards you.
"I'm a freshman"
~~~
"The HOTTEST f*cking freshman I've ever met in my life, and he's taller than me!"
"What did I say Y/n, we've been back in this school for a total of 0.25 seconds and you've already got a boyfriend!"
Mark rants. You roll your eyes.
"He's not my boyfriend, I'm just saying he's cute! And he's a freshman in geometry which means he's smart"
"Yeah, and he's a freshman which means he's probably 14 you creep"
You roll your eyes yet again.
"I'm literally not even a year older than him, it's not that weird"
"What's his name?"
"Jacob"
Your friends ponder for a moment.
"Nice name"
Luna finally comments and everyone agrees. You spent the rest of your lunch hour chilling and catching up with your friends. Over the first few weeks of school you got closer to Jacob. You almost always sat together in geometry and said hi to each other in passing in the hallway. You knew for a fact though that your crush on him would always be a well kept secret considering he probably didn't see you like that anyways. Not to mention he's still 14 and some boys find it weird when girls are older.
Anyways it was finally Friday during the 5th week of school, and you were at your locker packing up to leave.
"Hey Y/n"
You peek out from around the door to see Jacob smiling on the other side.
"Jacob, hi"
You smile back and close the door picking up your backpack from on the floor.
"I was hoping I would see you before you left"
He says.
"Well your seeing me, what's up"
He takes a noticeably deep breath and diverts his eyes from yours before opening his mouth again. His nervousness evident in his body language.
Is he about to ask what I think he is, is this really happening
You think excitedly to yourself as his voice interrupts your running thoughts.
"I was just wondering if..."
He trails off.
"If?"
You prompt.
"If...if you would help me study for the geometry benchmark next week"
He says finally and you felt your heart sink as you tried your best not to show your dissatisfaction, although you weren't doing a very good job.
"...yeah, of course I can"
You answer more monotonely than you meant to as you try to keep your composure.
"Just let me know when"
You say quietly turning around and taking steps towards the stairwell of the third floor hallway.
Who was I kidding, of course he wasn't gonna ask me out. He doesn't think of me that way and he probably never will
You sigh passing each locker as your almost at the end, only to feel a pullback on your wrist. You turn enough to see who it was.
"I also wanted to know if we could hang out this weekend, like a date...but only if you want it to be"
You felt the smile brighten on your face as you nod yes to him. He pulls you into a hug, using his height advantage to rest his chin on your head.
"I wanted to ask you out before, I really did but I didn't think you would say yes and I panicked"
"Why"
You ask, your lips brushing his neck as you talk.
"Your a sophomore, why would you want me"
"Because your nice, and smart, you make me laugh all the time, and your pretty cute not gonna lie"
You say making him laugh as your hug pulls away.
"Saturday?"
He questions and you nod in response.
"Saturday"
You smile walking the opposite direction down the hallway.
Lowkey there's this cute freshman in my Spanish class and I know him from middle school, but he has a girlfriend so no me gusta eso. 🤷🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️~Bianca
