"Look...were...safe"
Loren pants as she rounds the corner, ducking behind an uprooted old tree with the rest of you.
"No, I said we were safer...not safe"
"This was such a dumb idea"
Ariel snaps while you all try to breathe as quietly as possible. A low growl fills the air, but you couldn't quite place what direction it was coming from as you all huddle together.
"Haven't we been in this direction before"
"Who knows, we've been running for so long already"
"From what exactly?"
You say as more of a rhetorical question.
Lexi points with a shaky finger to a trail illuminated by the full moonlight. You could barely make out footsteps on the damp forrest floor.
"That must be the way we came"
The growl gets louder.
"Who votes we go that way again"
Loren whispers as the four of you take off running down the path in an attempt to find the safety of the campgrounds. Loren had invited the three of you along to a family camping trip, and you agreed. Naturally being the curious teenagers you were, you took a night walk and strayed from the marked path into the deeper part of the woods. Now you were being hunted by something, and you didn't know what.
"You've got to be kidding me"
Ariel exclaims as you look around the clearing you just ran into. The trees in this area were taller than most, while still giving a perfect view of the full moon. They were also perfectly placed in a circular shape as if to trap people, and by the looks of it you had fallen for the trap.
"This looks like that scene from The Blair Witch Trials when-"
"Now is not the time bring that up Lexi"
You whisper sharply as you look around. There were four trails leading out of it, one on each side. Every trail looked like one you'd already been through, and now that you were standing in the middle you couldn't identify which one you had already used. It was then that you looked down and realized your dumbest mistake yet. The footprints you had been following weren't yours, in fact they were almost a whole size bigger. Whatever you were running from, you had just led yourself straight to it.

"I told you it would work"
Joey smirks confidently.
"That wasn't even your idea"
Charles elbows him in the stomach and Joey growls barring his fangs.
"Would you two idiots quiet down"
Jacob turns from his stance watching the four of you from up in the trees.
"Of course your majesty"
They joke making him roll his eyes.
"Why are we even up here stalking them anyway, I can't even remember the last time we caught humans and I'm hungry"
Blake complains.
"Fine then, you go down there and do what you want with them...don't touch the one in pink I want her"
"Bet"
Joey says as they start getting out of position.
~~~
"What was that"
Loren turns her head looking down one of the paths.
"Look guys we've got to find a way out of h-"
Your voice is cut off by the thud of something landing from a height. One...two...three times. You all turn slowly to see something you could only imagine in your nightmares.
"Werewolves"
Loren whispers under her breath.
"The blonde one is smart...go figure"
The one in the middle growls as their eyes scan each of you. They were tall and intimidating looking, fangs showing through the rows of perfectly aligned teeth as they inched around you and towards your friends.
"Y/n go!"
Ariel yells. You didn't want to leave them but this may be your chance to get help. You take off running, hoping you could make it back in time when you face plant into something hard, stepping back woozily to catch yourself. It was then that you looked up to see what was standing in front of you.
He was strikingly good looking, something you had always heard about werewolves. He was different though. Taller and more muscular than the others, his presence was more intimidating and he gave off a vibe of power. The alpha. Your breath quickens as he steps closer. You wouldn't make it, he would kill you for sure.
~Jacobs P.O.V (if you couldn't already tell it'll be switching often)~
I look down at the near perfect human in front of me. She's absolutely gorgeous and she smells amazing. The fear coming off of her makes her all the more appealing. Her chest moves faster as I step closer, scared probably. I admire every part of her body, I can't find a single flaw on her and that's facts. I've heard about alphas having human mates, if that's true then I know exactly who she is. I extend my hand towards her and her breath catches in her throat. She must be scared for her life right now. She blinks quickly as if trying to process why I haven't mauled her yet, and apprehensively places her smaller hand in mine. I give her a soft smile and lead her away from the trap. A human would never be able to figure out how to get out of there, but of course I know.
"What's your name"
I ask her as she walks slightly behind me. I slow down realizing I'm practically dragging her due to difference in our step size.
"Y/n"
She answers quietly looking dumbfounded as if she didn't know I could speak. I just nod.
"Don't look at me like that, your friends will be fine trust me. In the mean time you and I have some catching up to do"
I don't think I like the ending.
