Better With You

I wrote this like a week ago and have been waiting patiently for him to drop the song so I could post it

I'm fine, so fine, I'm alright but even better with you...

I smile as I pull the earbuds out of my ears and nod in approval at the song my boyfriend let me hear for the first time.

"It's amazing Jacob, I love it"

He smiles up at me, for once I'm slightly taller because I'm sitting on his lap. We're at the studio because he insisted I be the first one to hear the song other than his managers and whatnot.

"I'm glad, I wrote it with you in mind"

I can feel a slight blush creeping onto my cheeks. We've been together for so long, yet his cheesy @$$ flirting still makes my heart skip a beat. He pulls on the v-neck of my shirt, lowering my head enough to place a soft kiss on my lips. Naturally our moment is interrupted by a knock on one of the glass windows. Jacob groans over dramatically and slouches down in the seat.

"What"

He rolls his eyes and I laugh at how unnecessarily rude he is.

"I just came to tell you we're all going to In-n-Out but ok...hey Y/n"

Zach says pretending to have an attitude. His managers are hilarious. I let out a small laugh covering it with my hand.

"Hi Zach"

I smile getting off his lap and standing, because let's face it...a girls gotta eat. I start walking off to meet Zach at the door but Jacob clears his throat jokingly.

"And just where do you think your going"

"In-n-Out...where else"

I giggle and Zach high fives me as we catch up to the others. Some of Jacobs friends are here to celebrate the release date and I'm happy for him, although because he took a long @$$ time to get to the bus he couldn't sit next to me and he looks hella triggered about it. I'm currently laughing at the dumb things Joeys yelling at people while Loren tries and fails to get me to make a Triller video with her.

"C'mon Y/n, what doesn't Trill you makes you stronger"

Everyone starts laughing at the terrible pun she just made...well except Jacob who's sitting on his phone fixated on letting everyone know he's unhappy. What a baby.

"Weeeerrrre heeeeeeere"

Lexi exclaims in a singsong voice which I don't mind because she can actually sing. As the bus stops and we all get out I find myself walking in between Brandon and Lexi who were affixed on giving me an in-depth eyewitness account of how Jacob almost fell off the stage at the Six Flags show during the Sartorian Summer Sendoff tour...oddly specific don't you think?

Anyways as they're talking Brandon nonchalantly rests his elbow on my shoulder using me as an armrest while his dramatic retelling continues. I don't mind, I've known him longer than I've know Jacob. Speaking of my boyfriend, his attention seems to have dramatically shifted to me...gee I wonder why. Lexi pulls out her phone to look for a video, but I assure her I've heard enough. Jacob holds the door for everyone but grabs my arm and pulls me next to him to let everyone else pass. I roll my eyes already knowing what it would be about. He's so overprotective, especially when we're in public. He takes my hand as we go inside behind everyone else. He won't say anything now, but knowing him he'll do everything in his power to make sure people know I'm his.

"Remember that time in fifth grade when we all went to the pier and you lost the wristband for the rides so we snuck you in"

Brandon reminisces, pointing a fry at me before eating it. I nod vigorously laughing at how since then not much has really changed, I still loose things constantly.

"That was still a fun trip"

I comment taking a sip of my drink. Jacob managed to sit next to me this time, but he's still acting like he has a stick up his- never mind. It's just that everyone showed up to celebrate his release and he's barely been talking. I nudge him to get off his phone and he looks at me.

"What's your problem"

I ask him.

"I don't have one"

He answers shortly. Liar.

"Fix your face then"

I say and place a quick kiss on his cheek.

"They all came to support you J, be a good host"

He sighs.

"I know, your right I just...don't...."

"What?"

I ask after he trails off.

"I don't like sharing you with other people, I wanted it to be just us today"

His intentions are sweet. Selfish, but sweet. He must have made me smile because he started smiling too.

"Who wants cake!"

Matt yells and I join in with everyone cheering. They bought him a congratulations cake, that's so cute. And for once they didn't have the idiotic idea to waste a whole cake by smashing someone's face into it. They gave Jacob the cake knife...I don't know who told them that was a good idea but he manages to not stab himself or anyone else.

"I know you like corner pieces"

He says loud enough for only me to hear as he hands me the corner that has his name on it. Smooth kid...reeeeal smooth. I see what you did there.

"Thanks"

I say taking it and stuffing my face. Cake is amazing ok. Don't judge. I can hear Jacob laughing next to me and I turn in his direction.

"What?"

I ask and he shoots me that side smile while using his thumb to wipe frosting off the corner of my mouth.

"It's just- I don't know..."

I roll my eyes.

"Tell me boy...tell me now"

He smiles again and I can physically feel the happiness radiating off of him.

"I was just thinking about how lucky I got, with you I mean"

He smirks knowing how flustered I get when he says that cute sh*t. I smile harder than I already was and I bet I'm blushing.

"Your pretty alright I guess"

I say jokingly and he chuckles taking my hand under the table.

"I'm alright, but even better with you"

He says placing a kiss on my lips that we both interrupted laughing about how cheesy our relationship is.

Jacob has improved so much I'm so proud this song is a bop. Music better than my whole career~ Bianca
