Body like an hourglass, sand on her feet
I can't help but stare 'cause I got the best seat
Just when I thought it couldn't get any hotter, you slid on in
Said, "I'm a little hot and bothered if you know what I mean
Let's crank it up to a hundred degrees"
Alright, you hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet
Burned me up and down, no way to cool it
Every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey

Grayson survived church, even managed to say good morning to Pastor Engle without turning more than a little pink. But he and Cait had had a good conversation with him the night before. He'd reminded them that marriage was about a lot more than a wedding. Or even two weddings. And that actually made Grayson feel surprisingly good. He'd reached for Cait's hand and told Pastor Engle that that was what he wanted. The rest of their life.

Of course, his pastor had also tasted that strawberry shortcake and then pointed out that when you found someone who could cook like Cait, you probably should lock it down in a hurry. That had made Grayson laugh.

He was also grateful that Cait had made a reservation for them to take his parents out for brunch after church. He probably should have thought of that. But, as usual, she was a step ahead of him.

Or several steps.  She'd not only sent flowers to Joan and Chitana, she'd also gotten a gift for Sherry.  Jewelry to go with her dress for the wedding.  She'd told him that she'd take care of Mother's Day and she definitely had.

And he smiled at the calls and texts she got from Marvin, Wendell, Gary, Tre, Alex, Jordan and Mike.  Just saying that they were thinking of her.  And excited for the wedding.

So they'd spent one more relaxing day in Jacksonville. They'd fielded questions about wedding related things from his family the night before and told everyone that they were excited to see them in Hawaii in a matter of weeks.

And now they were at the airport, waiting on the plane to leave for their vacation.  And they shared a smirk when Luke and Rae deplaned to allow the crew to refuel, looking a little disheveled.

"Catch a nap on the flight?" Cait asked, trying to hide a smile.

Rae blushed, but Luke held up a hand.  "Oh, hell no," he snapped.  "I'll be dammed if I'm gonna listen to any crap from the two of you.  You can just mind your own business."

Cait put her hands up and pressed her lips together. But Grayson smirked. "Nuh, nuh, nuh," he said, shaking a finger. "There's one thing we need to establish."

"What's that?" Luke returned his frown.

"The Mile High Club is closed between here and Costa Rica," he said firmly. "Agreed?"

Luke tried to keep frowning, but cracked a smile. "Agreed."

Jackie MacBride unexpectedly found herself back in North Carolina.  This time, in Durham.

She was still a little confused about how Justin was graduating, but staying at Duke for another year and he'd explained redshirting and how it affected his eligibility to play basketball.  And he'd asked her to come to graduation.
