Chapter 40

When i wake up the next morning i feel rested, I've slept next to Corbs again and i've been doing this every night now. I look at Corbs, he's still sleeping, he looks so peaceful I think while i smile. I slowly get out of the bed and i walk to my room, I grab some black sport shorts and a black tanktop and i walk to the shower. I wash my long hair and i wash my body, I change into the clothes i grabbed and i wipe the steam off the mirror. I look at myself, I've been stressing a lot lately and you can see that clearly on my face, my whole forehead is covered in pimples and my chin is covered too. The huge bags i used to have under my eyes are gone, I grab my concealer and i try to hide the break out spots on my face. When i'm done with that i look at myself, why can't i have Esther's face? She doesn't have any pimples plus her face looks super kind! My face is grumpy the whole time, but when i smile i look kinda kind. I just shake my head and i walk to Corbs his bedroom, he is sitting up straight in his bed, he has his phone in his hand and i hear the songs from tiktok. We've both been kinda addicted to it, i haven't made any tho. I am a terrible dancer so i'm not gonna do that. I don't know if Corbs made any but i don't think so, "Hey Corbs" I say and he looks up from his phone. "What do you want for breakfast?" I ask while i lean against the door. "uhhh bagels?" he asks and i nod. "Okey then i'll make that!" I say and i walk to the kitchen, I cut the bagels in half and i put them in the toaster. Corbs his taste is not gone yet, but it's not the best either. I just hope for him that it doesn't get too bad...

I make some coffee for Corbs and i, I hear some footsteps and i look up. I see Corbs walking to our little table slowly, he has his walking stick in one hand and with the other hand he leans on the kitchen counter. He sits down and he grabs his phone, I grab the coffees and i put them on the table, I drew a bear. I've been practicing a lot at work and i've been getting better at it! "What ya doinggg?" I ask while i look at his phone, "Watching tiktoks! It's so much fun! I can spend hours on here" he says laughing. I join him, "Yeah me too, I'm kinda addicted" I say.

We eat our breakfast and watch tiktoks together, when we're done i clean up the table and i grab my little back pack, "I'm going to buy some new clothes and shoes cause mine are kinda dead, do you need anything?" I ask and i look at Corbs. "Uhh nah i don't!" he says and he starts to walk back to his room, "Jonah texted me that he's gonna take you out today" Corbs says and i bite my lip, I hope that it won't upset him or anything, he needs to know that we're just friends. "Oh yeah, but just as friends tho" I say and i look at Corbs. "Ohh okeyy! Well have fun Ellie!" he says and i smile. "THanks! Maybe you can invite Jack over again?" I ask, "Hmm i don't know, I am really tired from last night" he says and he looks at me, "Yeah i get that, did you have fun?" I ask. "Yeah i did! Thanks again for inviting them!" he says and he slowly walks up to me, without his walking stick... "Careful!" I say and i quickly walk to him to catch him, "Thanks Ellie" he says while he holds me tightly, "For what?" I ask confused, "For everything" he says and he lays his head on mine. Yeah i am that short.

I help Corbs to bed and i tuck him in, I put his laptop on his nightstand so he can watch youtube or something. I exit the apartment and i get in my car.
