Chapter 57

We continue with the project and around 5pm we are done! It's been a boring project but if i'm being honest, he makes it fun.

I put all my stuff into my backpack and i get up from his chair, "Do you wanna stay for dinner? I know that my mom would love that" he says and i am really doubting, I had a good time with him and i would like a good meal for once, but i need to go home for Corbs. I can't leave him alone! "No i'm sorry... I need to go home now" I say and he nods. "No yeah i get that" he says and tell me if i'm wrong but it sounded like he was disappointed or something. But that can't be true! Cause like why would he want me at the dinner? I am a weird ass girl who just hit a girl. "So uh could you maybe drive me back home? If you don't have time or something that's fine i can take an uber" I say and he shakes his head. "Of course i'll bring you home! I brought you here so i am gonna bring you back home too" he says and that is kinda cute.

No Elle stop, you are not gonna fall for that guy. You're gonna push him away, that's what you're gonna do. Just take the ride and then you'll start with pushing him away. "So is it okey if i give the sweater back tomorrow?" I say and he nods. "Yeah sure" he says. We walk down the stairs and we run into his mom, a boy and a girl. I wonder who they are, "Hey dani!" the girl says and Daniel smiles. "Hey Anna and Tyler" he says and the boy whose name is tyler just nods. "So this is the girl you told about huh" Tyler says and Daniel his cheeks heat up again. "Yeah yeah we all know about that now" he says while he gently pushes me to the door. "Doesn't she wanna join for dinner?" his mom asks and Daniel stops pushing me, "Oh no she had to go home" he says and his mom ignores him, "Well Elle?" she says and everyone looks at me. "Oh no i'm sorry i need to go home back to my brother" I say and I immediately regret that i said that i had a brother. "He can eat here" his mom says and I really don't know what to say. I need to stay away from Daniel but Corbs needs a healthy and good meal. I also don't want to reject the offer. I look at my hands and i start pulling my nails. "Daniel be nice and pick her brother up will you!" she says and Daniel looks at me, "I'm not sure she wants that, plus what about her parents." he says and i know he's trying to save me from this awkward situation but he only made it worse. "Oh yeah of course, well they can come too!" she says and he just nods. "Well uh i'll just ask them" I say and his mom nods. "That's a good idea! Now go you two i will start with prepping the dinner! Anna and tyler do you guys wanna help?" she asks while she walks to the kitchen. Anna walks up to me and she takes a piece of my hair in her hands. "How is it possible that your hair is so long and so wavy but it still looks so good?!" she says and i feel that my cheeks heat up. "Oh uh i don't know" I say and i look at the ground. "Well uh we better go" he says and he grabs me by my arm and my first reflex is to hit him or something but i stop myself. Don't Elle, he's being nice.

We walk to his car and get in, "I'm sorry for my mom" he says while we drive away. "Oh it's fine" I say, "No it's not, like you said to me one time, I don't know you that good and she never met you but she's already acting like you are her child or something" he says while he tightens his grip on the steer.

The whole drive he keeps on talking bout how he is embarrassed by his mom and that he thinks she is annoying and blablabla. When we arrive at my place he looks at me, "So uh do you want to ask your parents?" he asks and then i just snap.

"Listen Seavey" I say using his last name again to make him understand i am serious, he looks confused. "You need to learn to always appreciate your mom! You have no idea what it's like if you don't have one so just stop complaining bout her! Oh and also don't be ashamed for her! She is just trying to be nice and you need to learn to understand and respect that! And no i am not coming to dinner, but that's not because of your mom that's all because you act like a little and spoiled kid!" I say and i get out of the car, I slam the door behind me and i walk up the apartment building.
