Last chapter of my 10k special✌🏻
I'll let you be.... for now.

Shawn's POV

Before leading her up to my surprise, I gave her her medication and a glass of water since it was time for her to take it. Then I gently grabbed her by the hand and lead her to the stair which lead up to the roof. "I have a surprise for you Mila... This is... place I really like to go to to think." I said as I opened the door. It was a nice, warm day and it looked really pretty. She looked around a bit and nodded. "it is pretty Shawn." She said. It was the most she had said to me today. "Come." I said as I lead her to the blanket I had prepared for us. "What is... this?" She asked. "I prepared this for us... for you. I giggled you needed a good day with nothing to do so I decided... we just... spend a day up here together... I even prepared food and everything. Is that okay for you? Does that sound good?" I asked unsure. "This sounds great Shawn... Thank you." She jumped up and kissed me. "Thank you so much." She said again as she pulled me to sit down on the blanket. She leaned back on the pillows I had prepared and I threw a blanket at her which she gladly took. I put the food basket in front of us und covered us both whit the blanket. She leaned against my chest as I took out some food for us to eat. We had a great morning together. I had also brought up my laptop so we could watch a movie which we did. She wanted to watch 'Tangled' so we did. She said it was her favorite movie. I could see that. She never looked away. Only to give me small pecks on my lips or to pop a grape in her mouth. It made me chuckle how cute she was being. This is something I would remember. I would remember this moment for a long time since she was so happy. And everything wanted was for her to be happy.

She was again in one of those fever moments and was getting very sweaty so I let her take off the jacket.  I went inside to grab her some medicine and gave it to her which she took gratefully. "Should we go back inside?" I asked her. "No... I want to stay up here... please." She whined, looking at me. "Okay." I nodded, taking her into my arm but not too tight since I knew she was feeling hot. She leaned her head on my chest and closed her eyes. I put my hand on her hair and caressed it, looking at the view from up here. The city looked beautiful at this time of the day. It was barely 4 pm and the sun wasn't at its highest anymore. It was very slowly going down. The food was mostly gone and the blankets were spread all over the place since Mila didn't need one at the moment. But I was getting a bit cold so I pulled on towards me and putting it over my legs. I could still feel Mila sweating so I didn't put the blanket completely over her body. I just covered her arms. She was asleep now. Peacefully asleep. So I just let her be.

I had fallen asleep with her and when I woke up I noticed that she was already awake. The sun was almost down and the sky was a pretty shade of orange and yellow. "Hey..." I whispered, since she hadn't noticed me yet. "Hey." she smiled, snuggling more into my chest. "You are beautiful... you know that right?" I asked her. I needed to make sure she knew it. After reading that that note... I was scared. Scared to loose her. Scared that if I let her out of my sight... I would loos her... completely. I pressed her even further into my chest and put my chin on her head, caressing her shoulder. "Yeah...." She said very quietly. "No Mila... you really are. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."  I made a small pause to kiss her head and to make sure she was aware that my words were true. "You are the prettiest, strongest and greatest girl I've ever met. Please know that. " I think this was the perfect moment. I grabbed the basket and pulled out as small box, wrapped in a silk bag. I put it in my lap and looked at Mila once again. "Mila? Look at me." She looked at me and sat up, looking into my eyes. "I've been wanting to do that for some time now... because.... because I really really like you Mila." I was stuttering. Always stutter when I get nervous. And I was definitely nervous asking her the question I wanted to do for so long now. I felt her taking my hand and I gave it two squeezes... followed by a third one. She smiled at the action and that was the reassurance I needed. "I want to ask you this and I want you to answer me honestly please." I said. I gave her the box, which was still wrapped in the silk bag. "Open it" I said. I was very unsure of what she would think of it. She unwrapped the package and opened the box. "Oh my god... Shawn..." She said, putting one hand on her mouth. "This is... this is beautiful..." I took it out of her hand and put it around her neck. "Mila... do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked, when I had put on her necklace. "wait... what?" She asked confused. "Do you want to be my Girlfriend?" It was quiet for a moment and I saw tears well up in her eyes. "Yes... yes... a million times yes." She said, as she threw her arms around my neck and kissed me forcefully on the lips, putting her hands in my hair and playing with my curls. When she pulled away, she still had tears in her eyes. I wiped them away with my thumb and gave her a small kiss on her nose which made her scrunch up her nose cutely. "I really, really like you too Shawn." She said, as she embraced me again.

This was definitely one of the best days of my life. The evening was perfect. I suggested to play her something on my guitar which she gladly accepted. So I pulled out my guitar and choose a song to play. At first I played 'A little too much', which I knew she loved. Then I played 'In my blood', which she had told me was one of her favorites, along with 'why'. The last song I played was 'Fix you'. Especially because of the lines: 'Light will guide you home. And ignite your bones. And I will try... to fix you'. I looked up when I was done and saw the she had tears in her eyes again. I sat my guitar back down and got closer to her to wipe her tears away. "Mila, I will try to fix you. Wont let you fall." I whispered in her ears, as I sat with her for a few more minutes, before the sun went down. When it got cold, we packed up the things and walked back inside. We had already eaten and sat down on the couch with tons of blankets. She was cold again so I got our blanket from the bedroom in which she snuggled inside. I love her.
