He was a little shorter and I could tell weighed less and honestly I could take him but deep down I knew fighting him would make her distance herself from me. her chin resting on her arms that she had on her knees. She was overlooking the water. Walking up I saw she had at one point been crying because the sun showed the dried streaks.

"Pepe Tiene" I said as she turned her head.

"Alex told you." She said softly.

"John said it before him, but Alex brought me, you ok beautiful, you shouldn't have walked so far."

"I'm fine, what do you want."

"Your grandfather is here." She nodded turning her head back to the water. I sat down next to her putting my arm around her. "How much do you hate me?"

"I don't." She said snorting. "Hate, that is such a strong word, I don't like it. The only thing hate does is wreck the world. I'm not even mad at you, I , I don't know I guess I'm just lost, I'm confused, hurt, sad. I mean I feel like I failed as a parent because I had a miscarriage which is noones fault it's normal, hell we didn't even know until it happened, not like we planned for that to happen."

"Well we didn't exactly not plan for it to not happen either, we never took any precautions to prevent it and it's not like we keep our hands off each other." I responded as she smiled. "There's the smile I love pretty girl." She giggled and rolled her eyes at me before I stood up holding my hand out. As she took it I pulled her up walking with her to the truck. Alex leaning against it. She walked up hugging him and I understood one word of what she said and she thanked him, I'm guessing for bringing me to get her. We rode back to her moms and she walked in walking up and hugging her grandfather who spoke to her quietly in Cherokee
