I woke up to an empty spot beside me. I sat up seeing her sitting outside in a chair, knowing she was probably drinking some coffee. I walked out kissing her head.

"Taeao matagofie" (morning beautiful)

"Taeao lo'u toalua" (morning my husband) I smiled down at her. I loved hearing her speak in other languages and the fact she not only had wanted to learn Samoan but had taken to it the way she did in no time even a few years later blew my mind. She sounded like she had always spoken it. I was still trying with learning Cherokee which was daunting, not just because learning a new language as an adult is hard but Jayla had told me Cherokee was one of the hardest to learn just because of how different the dialect was, one word in English could be a sentence in Cherokee, and it was a lot of vowels or almost kinda gruntish sounding sounds.

"How long you been up?"

"Bout 20 minutes, not long, I walked down and got a coffee, but yours is probably cold now." She said motioning to the other cup.

"Probably, you could have woken me up."

"You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to."

"Thank you, wanna get ready and head out to breakfast before we start the day?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty much ready babe." I nodded looking at her, she had on yoga pants and a sports bra, she probably had an extra shirt with her. I did my normal morning routine before putting on clothes and meeting her. We drove down to a local spot the front desk had recommended as the best breakfast spot, somewhere called Pele's Kitchen.

It was a small little place that was pretty packed already but luckily we didn't wait long

It was a small little place that was pretty packed already but luckily we didn't wait long. It had different pictures of volcanoes on the walls and pictures depicting Pele, the fire goddess.
