'Aap?'

Sonakshi was stunned to see Rohit's parents along with Rohit and Ajit.

'Kya hua Sona? Andar nahin aane do gi?'
Veena spoke when Sonakshi stood there gaping at them.

'Ji, ji..aayen..'

Sonakshi looked at Rohit, who had a closed expression. And Ajit looked absolutely serious.
She gestured to Rohit, but he did not look at her and came inside.

Suman came hurrying forwards.

'Aray, Veena ji..Naren ji, aap log? Aiye aiye! Sona mun to band karo, or andar aane do..'

Sonakshi closed her mouth and moved out of the way.
Pari came behind her, a tense look on her face.

'Yeh sab kya hai, Di? Yahan kyun aaye hain?' She whispered close to her ear.

'I have no clue..'

'Or sab itne pareshan kyun lag rahe hain? Oh, God! I'm so scared..'
She clutched Sonakshi's hand.

Sonakshi cleared her throat.

'Aap sab yahan? Search party ki zaroorat nahin thi..maine Rohit ko bataya tha ke mein yahan hun..or abhi to mein nikal hi rahi thi..'

'Hum tumhe lene nahin aaye hain, beta. Humain Anil or bhabiji se kuch zaroori baat karni hai..'
Naren told her.

Pari clutched Sonakshi's hand, tighter.

'Kya baat hai, Mom?'
Sonakshi asked Veena.

At that instant, Anil came out of his room to greet them.

'Aray, aap log kharay kyun hain, bethen..beta Sona, chai paani..'

'Aray nahin, Anil, hum chai peenay nahin aaye hain.'

Both Suman and Anil looked puzzled.
Sonakshi looked over at Ajit, who had his head bent, but looked upset. Rohit looked slightly put off, too.

What is going on here?

Sonakshi tried to catch Rohit's eye, but he went and sat with Sonakshi's father, avoiding her gaze.
Reassuring Pari, Sonakshi left her hand and went to sit on the armrest of the sofa Rohit was sitting on.

As the adults were engaged, Sonakshi poked Rohit.

'Rohit! Yeh sab kya hai? Mom, Papa..what's going on?'
She said quietly, so only he could hear.

'I don't know, Sona..'

She raised an eyebrow.

'How can you not know? You came with them.'

'Woh to Mom ne bola..ke unhe or Papa ko yahan le aaun..to mein le aaya..'

'Right! Without knowing what the issue is!'

Naren caught his attention   and Rohit turned towards him, not answering her question.
Sonakshi glanced at Ajit, who had sat down and was busy looking at his hands.
From across the room, Pari gestured again to her, but she shrugged.

'Anil, bhabiji, hum to Pari ko bohot achi bachi samajhte thay. Baron ki izzat karne wali, sab se ghulne milne wali..'

Everyone looked at Naren Sippy in astonishment.

'J-ji..matlab?'
Suman stammered.

'Aap ki bari beti to kitni qabil hai, phir choti wali aisi..'

'Kaisi? Kya kehna chah rahe hain aap?'
Anil spoke up.

'Kya aap logon ko pata bhi hai ke aap logon ke peeth peechay kya gul khilaye hain aap ki beti ne?'

Sonakshi looked just as stunned, as Pari and Ajit did.
Pari looked as if she was about to cry. Sonakshi quickly got up and walked over to her.
