'Sona?'

Rohit turned his head.

The security officer stood there.

'Sir! Please provide us a photo of your wife. We have sent out messages to more officers around the hotel premises and beyond.'

Rohit quickly got up to show him in his phone.
He also described what she had been wearing.

The officer left, reassuring him of trying their best.

Please God! Let their best be good enough!

Just then, his phone rang.

It was Veena.

Oh no!

He picked it up.

'Han Rohit! Kaise ho? Wahan jaa kar to bhool hi gaye hum sab ko?'

Rohit composed his voice, lest she heard the tension.

'Hello Mom!! Han, bas sab itna khoobsurat hai ke soch raha hun yahin bas jaun.'

'Acha? Meri beti bhi aisa hi sochti hai? Lao baat karao to uss se meri..'

Rohit closed his eyes.

I wish Mom!

He cleared his throat.

'Woh Mom! Hum abhi abhi hotel aayen hain wapas, to bathroom mein hai..'

'Acha acha theek hai. Bohot miss kar rahi hun mein usse. Bata dena..'

Mein bhi bohot miss kar raha hun usse..

'Ji Mom, zaroor.'

They spoke for a few more minutes and cut the call.

Rohit began pacing the lobby.

He went to the manager again.

'Any news?'

'Not yet, sir!'

Rohit couldn't just sit there and do nothing. But he knew, it was no use for him to go out and get lost in an unknown city.

It was dark outside by now, the sun having set some time ago.

He saw the security officer walk by.

He rushed towards him.

'Any news sir?'

'Mr. Sippy, right? I did get a message of a woman being seen looking for a cab, nearby. Let's wait a little more to see if is indeed her and she comes back.'

'Thankyou officer! I appreciate your help.'

The officer left and Rohit went outside to the entrance of the hotel.

If Sonakshi was in a cab, she would get dropped off here.

He paced for a while, then went to sit on a flowerbed ledge.

Several cars came and went, some dropping guests, others taking them away.

Half an hour passed by.

All Rohit could think of was Sonakshi; her smile, her laughter, the moments he spent with her, her love for him, his love for her.

Agar tumhe kuch hogaya..no no! Don't even think that Rohit! Kuch nahin hoga meri Sona ko..kuch nahin..

He got up and began pacing.

He suddenly remembered she had become dizzy, the whole reason why they had parted.
