'Happy Birthday!!'

Sonakshi turned around, a big grin on her face.

Almost all the nursing staff had gathered around to wish her.

Sonakshi was a bit disappointed, but kept the smile on her face.

'Thankyou! You all are the best!'

Tulsi came forward.

'Ma'am, aap ko flowers pasand aaye? Hum sab ne milke yeh arrange kiya hai!'

Rohit ne nahin?

'Wow! Thankyou! So sweet!'

Tulsi signalled to someone, and a big cake was brought in her cabin.

Sonakshi was overwhelmed by the surprise.

She cut the cake amidst the staff singing Happy Birthday for her.

Several pictures were taken, before everyone finally shuffled out of the room.

Sonakshi was touched by the celebration. She checked her watch.

10 am. Ab tak to Rohit shoot pe bhi chala gaya hoga. Or baqi sab? Lagta hai aaj kisi ko yaad hi nahin..

Sonakshi shook the disappointing thoughts away and got to work.

Unknown to her, the Sippys and Rastogis were busy in making preparations for her surprise.

They knew Sonakshi would be thinking why no one wished her, but they wanted to see her expressions, when she finally found out.

Sonakshi came out of the OT and headed to her cabin.

She met several consultants, whom she came in contact with frequently, and they all wished her a happy birthday.

Sonakshi was surprised, but then saw the balloons and streamers decorated near her cabin and wing.

Sab ko pata chal gaya hai yahan, sab wish kar rahe hain, siwaye meri apni family ke..mere Rohit ke..woh kaise bhool sakta hai?

As she reached her room, she stopped.

Kahin aisa to nahin ke Rohit ko pata hi nahin ke meri birthday kab hoti hai? Maine kabhi bataya kya usse? Chalo..yaad nahin bhi thi usse to koi or to bata sakta tha na..Pari, Pulki?

Sonakshi sighed as she went to wash up and change into her home clothes.

It was evening now, and she was free from her surgeries and her clinics. But she didn't feel like going back home yet.

Mujhe to koi birthdays manane ka shoq bhi nahin hai..to aaj itna bura kyun lag raha hai? Forget it Sona! Just think of it as a normal day..

Sonakshi moved towards her desk, her back to the door of the room, when it opened.

'Tulsi! Maine kaha tha na, ke kuch der no calls, no disturbances? I want to stay alone for a while.' She spoke without looking back.

She heard the door close.

Thank God.

She went to stand by her picture window, looking out at the city, as the lights began to come on.

Sighing, she was about to turn when the lights in her cabin went off.

'What the..?'

She felt a hand as it came up to tie a blindfold to her eyes.
