Sonakshi threw down her phone on the bed in exasperation.

It was atleast the twentieth time that she had called Rohit, only to receive a voice message that his phone was unreachable.

Since Shan had come back, there had not been a day, or more precisely, an hour, that Rohit had not stayed in touch with her.

She walked out on the terrace, looking out at nothing in particular.
No cars coming this way.

Maybe his phone battery died.
Kahan hai yeh?

Veena usually never asked since Sonakshi had come in this house, but today, she had also asked three times where Rohit was. And Sonakshi had reassured her each time. She had finally retired to bed.

But Sonakshi was awake and pacing.
She had left several messages too.
She sighed.

Free ho ke dekhega.

She heard her phone ring.
She quickly ran inside.

It was Pari.

'Di! Kaisi ho?'

'Han theek hun? Sab okay?'

'Han, sab theek..woh bas..uss din se aap ki or Jiju ki fikr hai thori..'

Sonakshi had had to tell Pari about Shan after she had witnessed everything.

'Hum theek hain, Pari! Relax! Jao sojao..'

'Okay, Di! Chalo take care! Bye!!'

Sonakshi cut the call and checked her phone. No missed calls, no messages.

She threw the phone on the bed and went to change.

She came back out and checked the clock on the wall.

11:25 pm.

Sonakshi picked up her phone.

There was a message. And it was from Rohit.

Sonakshi quickly opened it.

'Sorry! Busy tha! Abhi bhi hun. Night shoot hogayi hai..please don't wait up. Sorry!'

Sonakshi breathed a sigh of relief.

Shukar! Pata to chala. Atleast I can relax now.

She quickly texted back.

'Okay, was worried. Take care..love you ❤.'

Sonakshi turned off the lights, and hugging Rohit's pillow, fell asleep.

Sonakshi stretched as she woke up and quickly turned around to see if Rohit was asleep, as was her habit.

His side was empty. Untouched.

Strange! Iss time tak to ajaata hai night shoot se..

She quickly got up and got ready for work.

Hurrying downstairs, she found Veena in the kitchen, and greeted her.

'Good morning beta! Rohit agaya tha phir?'

'Nahin Mom! Us ka message agaya tha ke night shoot hogayi hai.'

'To night shoot se bhi to ab tak ajaata hai..ruko, phone milaati hun..aise kaise..'

Veena picked up her phone and dialled. She got the same unreachable message.

'Yeh acha hai!'

'Mom, relax! Hosakta hai koi outdoor shoot ho..tab aksar signal nahin aate hain. I'm sure bata dega. Mujhe pata chala to I'll let you know.'
