'Rohit, will you marry me?'

He couldn't utter a word for trying. He was in absolute shock.

'Rohit! Mr. Sippy?' she snapped her fingers.

He looked at her as if she had grown horns or something.

'I just offered you a job..'

'What?!?' he croaked. He cleared his throat.

'Job?'

'Why are you repeating whatever I'm saying like a parrot? Didn't you hear me??'

'I heard..I'm just unable to believe it..if you don't mind.'

He sat on the bench. He got up.

'What is this? A joke? Aise kon propose karta hai? Badla lene aayi ho for that day?'

'What badla? I'm offering you a job..'

'Job?'

'Will you stop repeating?'

'Will you come to your senses?'

'I am in my senses. I just offered you a job..I want to hire you..as my husband!'

'You are crazy!'

'You asked me if I had ever done anything spontaneous. Well, this is me, doing that!'

She realised how that sounded, when he gave her a funny look. She cleared her throat.

'I mean husband..immediately. Like on Thursday!'

'Thursday? But today is Tuesday..' he said in disbelief.

'I know..I'm running out of time..' she said under her breath, but he heard.

'For what? Are you in some kind of trouble?'

'No!'

'Are you pregnant?'

'No! What?!?'

'Matlab itni emergency mein husband..what about love?'

'I don't have time for that..I..'

'Oh yes! I forgot..' he muttered.

'Look! I'll pay you well...'

'Oh God! Pay?' he didn't think she could shock him further.

'Ofcourse! Didn't you understand? I want to hire you..I'll give you double of what you are getting for your show if you agree to be my husband for a year!'

He laughed. He couldn't believe this.
She glared at him.

'Fine! You can laugh and reject my offer. But can you suggest any male actor friends of yours? Or I can go and choose randomly..'

'Do you know any good psychiatrist? Because I think you need one..right now!'

'Fine!'

She glared at him and turned to leave. He moved quickly, and caught her arm with his hand.

'Ruko..'

She stopped and turned, her eyes on his hand, on hers. She felt a weird tingle run up her arm. She looked up. He was watching her, a funny look in his eyes. She jerked off his hand.
