'What are you saying?'

'Di!! He doesn't love me! Oh, God! But I do! How will I live without him?'

Pari was crying loudly, while Sonakshi was trying to pacify her.

'Pari! Tum ne khud bola na ghussay mein tha..relax..'

'To ghussay mein hai to kuch bhi bolega? Family bolegi chorr do, to chorr dega? Woh bolega ke sab ko chorr dete hain..saath mein rehte hain, to mein maan jaun? Aisa kon karta hai?'

'Pari! Calm down! Thori der mein cool down hoga na, to khud hi call karega..dekhna tum.'

Pari looked up at her with inquisitive eyes.

'Agar nahin kiya? Phir? Di, mein to marr jaungi!' She wailed once more.

'Pari! Pagal hogayi ho? Aise kaise marr jaogi?'

'Aap batayen, agar aap se koi kahe, Jiju se alag hojao...'

'Stop! Hum kahan se aagaye beech mein..'

'Woh 3 mahinay jo aap Jiju ke bina rahi hain..hum ne dekha hai aap ka haal..'

Sonakshi was transformed back to that painful, agonising time. She shook her head to dislodge the memories.

'Pari! Yahan meri or Rohit ki nahin, tumhari or Ajit ki baat ho rahi hai! Aise hi Rohit baar baar bol raha hai ke he doesn't believe it will last. Tum dono ne pehle hi uss ki baat ko prove kar diya na!'

'Mein kya karti, Di? Hum dono itni close knit families se hain..aise mein hum bhaag ke saath reh len, to yeh to ghalat hai na?'

'You mean live together?'
Sonakshi's eyes widened.

'Yes! What do you think I've been saying all along? I don't want to do this, woh bhi  without everyone's blessings..is that such a bad thing? Matlab, am I wrong or old fashioned on thinking this?'

Sonakshi looked at her in amazement.

Sonakshi hugged her close.

Pari looked up at her, from where she was sitting at Sonakshi's feet.

'Do you think I'm wrong for Ajit? Aap ko bhi Jiju ki tarha bharosa nahin hai uss pe? Mujh pe? You also think we are not right for each other?'

'Pari! Who am I to make decisions for you guys? You, only you should have the right to decide, if this is what you want. If Ajit is the one for you!'

Pari looked down at her hands.

'You are right! But..aap ek baat batayengi? Aap or Jiju to kitne different fields se belong karte hain..matlab doctor or actor..or mein or Ajit to phir bhi same fields ke hain..hum dono hi ne MBA kiya..'

'Uss se kya faraq parta hai Pari? Mere or Rohit ke beech mein common ground nahin tha, phir bhi aaj saath hain na..pyaar karte hue kon yeh sab dekhta hai? Hamara dil hamare bas mein nahin hota na..but Rohit hai hi aisa..chah ke bhi mein uss se door nahin reh paayi..'

A faraway look came into her eyes, as she remembered his persistence. She smiled and shook her head.

'But, Pari! Don't let anyone decide for you! Tum araam se beth ke socho, take your time!'
